Well at least his name is not Brandon. Cause I could see a proud dad yelling at his son from the stands ‘Let’s go Brandon!’ Kinda ruins it for all the Brandon’s out there.

Excellent work. Now we ve caught on. I ll take it.  Good shot, direct hit.

Fake 10 year old getting put on blast today… I see nothing wrong with that. Let’s call him ‘Corn Pop’ cause Corn Pop was a bad dude. 🍿

    See that’s fair game.

direct shot at me through the 10 year old.
but when the fake ten year can’t be taught blah blah blah.  I don’t get it.

Can't teach someone not willing to learn.  In his case...can't teach someone playing with sticky toots.

You make it too obvious your from Vidor.

talking …t to a fictional 10 year old.

Nothing wrong with that. Somebody's gotta be there to support the football players

    My thoughts exactly.
He never really understood why his football coach only let him play 2 plays when he was 10 on Saturdays. Didn’t think it was very fun.

That 10yr old grew up to play varsity football and daddy has grown tired of watching him get ran over by Vidors offense.

    Brilliant.  You got me.

actually I forced him to quit playing such a violent sport.  He strictly  toots horns and marches these days.

If you don't think football has artistic beauty, then you never saw Barry Sanders run the football or the Dallas Cowboys lined up with their home jerseys on...

Lol.  If you only knew exactly how funny that statement is.

Ikr, rarely do we get the opposing teams coaching staff on here to complain about calls in a game that hasn't even been played yet.

Lol.  A coach?  It’s clear I have no idea what I am talking about.

I didn’t even know what a WR was.   Or that a chop block was art.

Whether a WR is bunched in tight, split out wide, motioned to the back field (unless he is handed the ball, then becomes a RB)...STILL A WR or other titles like, slot, split can be used.  And yes, I just wanna be a super cool dude saying I played college football.  What benefits would I gain from saying that?  Learn to explain and comprehend before you start spouting off like you're Ed Hochuli.

Oh I had the comprehension problem.  Got it Super Duper cool Dude.

For the record a WR Handed a ball in the backfield or anywhere else on the field is probably still a WR.  Only now he is a WR running with a football in his hand.

But like I said I’m no expert and didn’t play college football.

"By a WR split out" ... do you know the positions in football SMH.

    No I do not apparently.

WR split out Wide.  I edited it so you now understand that sometimes WR aren’t split out wide.   Sometime WR are bunched up right next your TE or Tackle.

you sure you played college football?Or are you just trying sound super duper cool.

Yes, yes they have.  I have scares on my knees and shins from being cut or attempts at being cut through my days playing high school and college.

By a WR split out wide it is not legal anymore. By a pulling Guard or fullback sometimes legal.

You are very descriptive - I don't think anyone one mentioned "smashing a knee cap or femur bone". Just for clarity, a cut block doesn't mean using a knife. Figured I would head that one off at the pass... 😆

You think a cut is sweet and gentle?

  12. 1 minute ago, SmashMouth said:

I only said "mostly legal" because if there is not enough separation between blocks, it can be perceived (especially by a low paid high school ref) as a chop block - even though it is not. A cut block within in the tackles is definitely legal. It's just a high block by player A - a moment of separation, then a cut block by player B. It's an excellent combo especially on a backside pass block.

I agree. Big difference in a cut and a chop.

  13. 30 minutes ago, SmashMouth said:

Yep. It comes with the territory. A true chop block is usually a high-low block from 2 offensive players on a defender at the same time. The way around that call is to initiate the high block then disengage and separate. Within a blink of an eye, the low guy makes his block and takes out the defender. If the guard / tackle practice it, it is pure art and "mostly legal".

That is an interesting perspective.   Is it mostly legal to hit a Passing Q in the knee cap?  Is it mostly legal to crack back into the box on a linebacker or D End from a slot in the knee cap?

or are those artistically illegal?  I am far from an expert but I think Hi/lows (chop blocks) are illegal because they break femur bones and destroy ACLs.

Vidor may or may not Chop Block but I doubt anyone in football including Vidor coaches feel that blocking up high to stand them up and in the “blink of the eye” smashing a knee cap or femur bone down low is artistic.
