I knew that PNG had never beaten WB, but I didn't know how many times they had played. And the above summation is correct. When PNG was 5-A, I THINK Coach Troy was the HC and, although I like him alot, he just never got it on track. It was also during the times shortly after the big merger of like7 high schools to make 2 in Bmt, and the 1st yr. out of the box WB wins State, so they were obviously good back then. We couldn't beat our way out of a paper bag. (Prob. about the time that PNG got beat 70-0 by Aldine)

I personally think it's disrespectful. LaMarque does it too, I think. I'm sure there's not disrespect intended but that doesn't mean that's how it will be taken. I take it as the team degrading the home teams Mascot/symbol/icon...whatever, on their home turf in front of the home crowd, because they know nothing can be done about it. Kinda C S if you ask me.

You're wrong. I think Lumberton advances. I've said it before that I think Slumberton will beat Nederland this yr. I've seen them both play and I beleive that L-ton's better balanced and the defense a bit stingier. Not talking smack, and if needed I'd surely get on here and give Kudos to Ned, but this is JMO. Of course I don't even know who I'm pulling for until week 10

That's a universal problem. And, sadly, if they want to leave early...NOTHING WILL STOP THEM! I've never figured it out either. It's like they're ther for one reason... to see who's gonna win, not watch the game. Depressing at times. :-\

Why all the complaints about the holding call on Vidor to call back a TD when only a few minutes earlier PNG had a 50 yd bomb for a TD called back for the same thing? It happened to both teams. And I still haven't heard any comment on the intentional grounding call when Tatum was CLEARLY outside the tackles (almost out of bounds) when he throws to Doty and misses him by 5 yds. That is NOT intentional grounding. Those refs were clueless last night. They hurt PNG with "strange" penalties, much more so than Vidor.

Well, I've gotta go with those Indians. Although they didn't play well tonight, they played good enough to win, and Central is down,...combine that with PNG's hunger and I'll say PNG by 14
