Tarnish LaMarky Mark Mighty Mice's reputation, oh my. Seems like their own kids have done a better job of that than any poster on this forum could over the past few years.

For some reason I can't quote on here:
To VNUPE, on the balanced attack, I agree about running the ball on HJ. I think we have perhaps a difference on how we define balanced. I agree that with HJ so worried about our passing game we had to run. I definately agree our run game is much better than last year for whatever reason. The game I look at however is the Foster game, a quality oppenent that we really could not run the ball when we needed to. Have we got better since then, I believe so, but do we KNOW so? When I say balanced attack in my mind I mean can you both run and pass the ball even when the other team is trying to take it away. To run the same as you pass in each game, to make it harder to gameplan against you. I suspect that people will try to take our pass away and force us to run, based on our rep if nothing else. We will have to run the ball from here on out to get where we want to be.
To Falcon69, please stop with the Mustang envy. Just face it, I know you say your not a huff and puff fan, sorry I just don't believe you. Face it, WOS is way better than Huff and Puff every year. Just ease up and become a Stang fan.

To a certain extent. I Don't know the exact stats, but I do know we didn't have any back to run for more than 200 yards against a very good defense. We have a very healthy balance this year. And I believe we've gotten better with that balance at the right time.
I don't know if would call it exactly a balanced offense. Yes, there has been a few games where we ran the ball well. However, in my mind for their to balanced we have to run the ball well every game. IMO I just don't believe we are quite there. Are we better than in years past, yes I believe we are.

You knowm I remember back in the day when BC WAS a football powehouse. They would give WO fits very year and they were in back to back state title games. Yes, it's been awhile but BC does have the athletes. As far as a coach making the playoffs being a measuring stick for a coach, forget about it. Everyone makes playoffs these days. The measuring stick is NOT making the playoffs. The question is will a quality football coach accept a job where they are NOT the athletic director. Usually a school uses the AD job to pay a coach more. Would they be looking at an experienced coach or a young coach who could be an up and comer such as DuBois was at Vidor? I believe they would almost certainly have to hire an established coach if they can pay him enough.
With a certain style offense BC could compete again. Would the other sports be hurt by a football revival at BC pulling kids away from the other sports? BC has proved that they can lay an excellant baseball foundation at the little league level to feed their baseball program, I am sure they could with the football program also.
Good luck to Coach Stump and the BC program.

Funny you should say that, because I can't understand your post at all. WOS, since their second loss, has been playing incredible football. The point I was making is that people in other parts of the state who are predicting WOS to struggle with Giddings see the two losses and think WOS is down this year. Having seen them play a couple of times, I know how good they actually are. For the past 6-7 weeks they've been playing like a top-3 team in the state, much better than their 2-loss record would indicate.
Can't argue with him, he still thinks Huff and Puffington is feared across the state. Guess the Falcons aren't quite playing up to that 11-0 level. Oops, forgot, he isn't a Falcon fan.

mighty mouse and lamarky mark...that goes together pretty well. The LaMarky Mark Mighty Mice. It won't be a shootout with WOS, LaMarky Mark will struggle to run the ball. WOS would beat them by three TD's. Congrats to HF for playing them tough, All in all the Mice had a problem with the 4TH place team from our district. I think HJ or WOS either one beat the Mice decisively. Enjoy the playoffs while you can, it's coming to an end in a couple more weeks. As far as cocky, usually cocky mice end up getting something else besides the cheese. LaMarky Mark is far from the team that won those 6 rings by the way.

Let's go HORNS! Beat LaMarky Mark.

Hats off to Scarborough, they aren't great but they are fair (see if you remember that one). Got to commend those boys for competing in the face of impossible odds and playing their hearts out.

In all honesty, Giddings will NOT be a cakewalk, although I expect WOS to prevail. GO STANGS!
