GT Shockers 10U will be holding another open practice Saturday December 27,  8 a.m.-11 a.m. weather permitting at the Beaumont Athletic Complex on College St. We've had really good turn outs and are planning on having two 10U teams this year. 04 and 05 girls are encouraged to participate. We are picking our teams from these practices and want to see as many girls as possible. Fundamentals are the main focus of the practices and the girls that have been attending have learned a lot and are getting valuable experience.  You can Google the GT Shockers and see what the organization is about. The December 13 practice has been rescheduled for Saturday December 20, 2014   8 a.m.- 11 a.m.

Found this interesting. In a recent game our team made a mistake and batted a girl out of order and the girl walked. The next batter came up and took the first pitch for a ball. The other team protested and wanted an out. The tournament director sided with them and said the base runner who had walked was out. I was pretty sure that was the wrong call and found the correct call that should have been made in the 2014 13th addition rule book that is for this year. Not that it means anything now.

3. Infraction appealed after illegal batter has batted and after next pitch: the play stands. All base runners remain where they are.

10U, 12U, 14U, and I'm pretty sure an 8U is also in the making for this fall.

Yep, I'm agreeing. Doesn't seem like it would take a whole lot of effort to add another sub-section for Select softball.
