It’s gotta be very tough to be a coach at PNG. And I’m sure Faircloth has to have some very thick skin. As a coach your always going to have people not agree with everything you do. People need to think about what kind of coach are we gonna get when Faircloth leaves. People wanted Burnett gone because our offense was boring and non existent. Now we have a badass offensive coach and people want him gone because of the defense. He knows how to develope QB’s for sure and can match an offense to that QB’s strengths. Back when Faircloth first got here I always said if we can get a QB that can run and throw this offense would be scary. Well thats what you have now and thats what you will have the next 2 years. Most of the teams winning state or making deep runs have a QB that can run and throw. Our offense is having to play different players on the line and we keep scoring. Our line has been struggling and Faircloth just finds ways to move the ball. He has a great offensive mind. Hopefully we can keep him around for a while longer. It’s a tough job being a coach and I’m sure anywhere he goes there will be crap to put up with. I’m sure eventually he will land another job that will pay him more money.

Missing all of those starters and we still dominated a team that some thought would beat us. Faircloth didnt go very deep into the play book tonite. It was good that we were able to rest guys for next week.

For the most part the QB did his job. He hit WR’s in the hands and they dropped em. Several drives started with penalties. Clean up the penalties and quit dropping the ball and Roger’s can guide this offense. They will have to do something with the defensive back that is killing us. Put a freshman or sophomore in there and get them ready. They cant do any worse.

We were very undisciplined tonite. Several penalties and several times players were not on the field when their unit was called on. We had to take penalties and call timeouts because player’s were not paying attention. We also had kid’s fighting with each other on the sideline. Sometimes you gotta let the coach’s coach and as a player you play. We had a stupid personal foul behind the play. Then after the foul he argued with the referee and got another flag. I seen the play as it happened and I was hollering why would he do that. The fans were booing the call but it was the right call. You cant blindside a guy 15 yards behind the play. For one thing they are eliminating blindside hits for safety reasons. The other reason is that block did nothing because he was 15 yards behind the play and it was when the runner was going down. Really just a bonehead play. I was shocked they let him right back on the field after protesting the call and getting another penalty. For people saying when you come to the Reservation get ready to play refs, well not last night. We also had several kids cramping up. And they were at key positions. One of the players was a WR who was playing very well. I never seen any of their players go off with cramping issues. So I’m not sure what they are doing diffferent. RJ made some really tough throws and we dropped them early in the game. A couple of the drops were drive killers and one was a TD. I’m sure there was a lot of edited talking going on out there. I really expected PNG to make deep runs in each of the last 2 seasons only to be eliminated in the 1st round. This PNG team has 9 college commits, not many teams can say that. May not see this much talent on the field at PNG for a long period of time. Several of these girls play on really good travel teams and win a lot. So I guess I expected the winning to carry over into high school and into the playoffs. It's not gonna get easier next year with the new district allignment. The easy district schedule is over for sure. Good luck next year.

5A and 6A football in this area is officiated by the Houston Chapter Officials. So I doubt very seriously any of these officials were just trying to give PNG the game. Some of you people are just ignorant! So I'm not sure how it is home cooking when the officials are from out of town.
