  1. Right. That's what I'm saying. Vidor's entire offense was seniors. It's gonna sting a little losing all that experience and leadership. That's what Lumberton felt this year.
  2. I think we all down-played the loss of a strong senior class that consisted of the QB, both RBs, both TEs, 4 starting OL and about 4-5 starters on defense. You might see a similar drop off at Vidor next year.
  3. Maybe someone can start another thread to discuss the greatness of Larry Haynes. This thread should stick to the present and future of Raider athletics.
  4. And a painful dropped pass that might have been 6. That was tough to watch. Feel bad for that kid.
  5. Best post I've read in a long time. I agree 100% with everything. Need more to come to this way of thinking. Eventually, we'll get there.
  6. I agree. I always like seeing shirts from area schools there supporting our neighbors during the playoffs.
  7. I agree with a lot of what you said. But saying Babin inherited a team that Haynes built up? You mean like not preparing, practicing and trying to win against PNG, Central and Nederland because those games are "not winnable" and he didn't want to get key players hurt? If that is building a team up, then No Thank You. I'll just stop there because I'd hate for this to turn into a Haynes bashing thread.
  8. Some didn't like the hire and that's ok. Some don't like that we are run-heavy and that's ok. Some don't like to work their tail off and that is NOT ok. But it's all getting sorted out. Hard work is not for everyone. But neither is winning.
  9. Not to take anything away from Durley because he was a great coach and great man, but WB had some unique dynamics in the early 80s. I do agree Durley was and is the best WB coach ever but not just cuz of state title.
  10. I've seen a lot of comments about PNG fans worried Roschon is having to run the ball too much. I couldn't disagree more. He is a special talent and a tough kid. He is shouldering the load of this team like a 4 year starter. He reminds me of the Hurts kid from Channelview at Alabama. Roschon is a big time stud and you need to just jump on and enjoy the ride. Like he wrote on those goals, he WILL be the best qb to come out of setx when it's all said and done. Good luck tonight Indians. Make 22-5A proud!
  11. Needed a couple turnovers tonight and to Crosby's credit, they protected the ball. Good season Vidor. And good luck Crosby.
  12. I agree about Katy Tigers last year. Best team I've ever watched.
  13. Tried to tell em they better have some big meats on the d line. :-)
  14. When you compare to WOS, all I heard after that is blah, blah, blah. Not many teams compare to WOS so let's leave them out of the discussion.
  15. Big like Nederland Dline that had the Big Meats a few years back. The Def that upset Pearland Dawson the #1 team in the state of Texas. You gonna need that kinda line.
  16. Athletic and fast D-Line is not going to stop Vidor's offense. You need big, strong, well-coached Defense that is committed and experienced with playing Assignment Football. I honestly don't know anything about the Crosby D but if Athletic and Fast are the two best words to describe them, then they are in trouble.
