1. Look I think Kountze is the Dark Horse in this thing because our pitching is young. Yes they can bring it from both sides and in my opinion may have the best one, two combination around with Franklin and Marshall, but they are young and will have to be in the proving mode every game. In addition our catching will have to continue to improve. our kids are hitting the Baseball so I think we will continue to get offensively better. I know people don't realize it but we only have three to four seniors in starting positions, one junior and four to five sophomores...depends on who is on the bump. Our pitching staff consist of four sophomores and two seniors and the seniors are really in a support roll. Just want to see our guys continue to improve and be hanging around at the end of the tournament...Anything else will be gravy!
2. Kountze won 8-7 Grayland Arnold or Justin Harper did not go and I am assuming because they just arrived...I think Kountze plays Big Sandy JV Friday...I am sure they will play then. Darrion Harper joined the Varsity squad as well.
3. I realize it was your opinion...just felt like your opinion was a bit presumptuous...In my opinion...In addition I did not mean any offense.
4. I would not go that far out on the line considering all...don't get me wrong I am sure HJ and Buna will be in the mix of things but little early to start awarding trophies.
5. Look at you go big daddy! I knew somebody would be on top of it! Like I said should be a good tournament...good luck to all
6. I know Kountze and Huntington play Thursday at like 12:45. I know Buna is in tournement. obviously Woodville and I think maybe Warren...I know they had a good sign-up. It should be pretty competitive.
7. Lumberton and Kountze JV play in Lumberton at 4:30pm
8. Gotta give the edge to Buna in this game...Warren is strong but Buna is in my opinion is a bit better rounded.
9. The score in the WOS vs Kountze game may have ended with Kountze 1-0 but the game was virtually a statistical tie. Both pitchers deserve alot of credit...Aiden Anderson and Austin Marshall did a great job...it was a pitchers dual. I felt when Ethan Franklin came in to close the last two innings, he did a great job and even more so at handling the pressure...that sounds crazy saying pressure this early in the season but that game did have a different feel...much more intense than the normal preseason tournament game.  I have to agree 100% Kountze and WOS will be fine this year...both seem to be fairly young...that said the programs have a bright future,"God willing", and arms stay healthy.
10. My experience is have your son envolved in a great summer program because believe it or not that will have more impact on next level play than anything. In addition this will give you a better handle and judgement of where your son stands.
11. I did not know his stats but that sounds right...kid did a great job!
12. Kountze wins in the bottom of 7...first Aiden Anderson great job boy...that said, great job by Kountze Soph. Pitchers Austin Marshall and Ethan Franklin...Marshall had 11 k's in 5 innings and Franklin had 5 k's in 2 innings combining for 16 k's...gotta give a shout out to Bradley Peters great heads up base running at the end to score the game winning run. Great job by Coach Kirby and Franklin.
13.

Ethan Franklin crushed that one over the right field fence...The landing gear was not down when it cleared...[glow=red,2,300]accounted for two runs and one RBI[/glow]. Braden Franklin followed it up with a towering shot over left field fence[glow=red,2,300]...accounted for two runs and one RBI[/glow]. Marshall had a two RBI triple and an RBI sac. fly to right. Peters helped himself out with a couple of good shot and I think two RBI's. In addition Peters pitched the entire game and did a good job keeping the ball down with good curve ball placement. As a whole the Lions did a good job with the sticks and at Catch Kade Shawver did a much better job at receiving and blocking...GOOD JOB KID! Any know how Liberty and WOS are doing?
So both of these home runs were solo HR?
My bad I typoed meant to put two RBI...ADD moment! LOL  :o
14. I was a West Brook guy and I just want to see Central get back to what those guys are capable of being and it's is going to take a strong coach with discipline and a good offensive and defensive direction.
15. Good luck Kountze! stay focused and play with control!

17. Kountze plays at 8:30am aginst Kirbyville...Friday morning and Saturday 2:30pm against EC and 6:30pm against WOS.
18. Coaches seemed to be really working hard on it...yesterday they were looking at everybody. New going in it was going to be a challenge.
19. Keith Stone...has paranoia set in...dude your being a stalker...I am fat and unattractive LOL! Sometimes people just stop participating on this site because of people like you being a creepy fellow!. We are trying to have conversation about baseball not about who's who in the forum world.
20. Catching is an issue but I am gonna have faith that with some work we will be ok behind the plate. Dropped third strikes allowing runners to advance or missed fastballs that are around the plate or failing to catch knee high fastball out front with your thumb under...all a must to improve behind the plate. Hitting and small ball was much improved and piching as a whole was fine. Several games to go before district...Kountze will be fine down the stretch and be a contender. Everybody just remember its very early and things will get more and more consistent.
21. After two innings Kountze up 4-3 Franklin on the mound for Kountze.
