Kountze will win... 8)

If I'm not mistaken a win by Kountze would put Kountze atop the district because they would own the head to head...a loss would make EC the lone unbeaten front runner. This game is important to both EC and Kountze as it will position them for the next round of play. It's all about the sticks and mistakes...Kountze pulls this one out in a close one!

One thing I have come to learn about the Bleeding Blue Buna Cougars...Don't ever count them out! I realize most will pick Silsbee, but I will go against the grain...Buna takes this in a close one!

The best thing Deweyville could have done is let Howell throw BP. Deweyville is hitting is better than last year and I think McHenry is good player and is pretty reliable pitcher that has a better than average bender...that said I think if the Lions sit on fastball and expect the breaking pitch and stay back they will score plenty...Deweyville will have to really gear up the bat speed even more so than they did with Dylan Williams from Hardin. Kountze wins this game.

Great job D-Will...good win Hardin! That said gotta give a compliment to Ethan Franklin 14 strike outs and only two hits given up and no earned runs! It was a great pitchers dual. We play two more times look forward to the next time!

My understanding that Kountze will now have two JV teams and will looking for games...even Soph. Teams from larger schools...very good for Kountze program, allowing more kids more playing time.

Hardin 6pm...I think time changed because of no JV game and it has always been at Hardin on the schedule.

Just found out that Franklin will be first out of the gate in the Kountze vs Hardin district match up...but Marshall will be first reliever since we only have the one district game this week and he will have had four days rest. We do have the Hardin tournament but It looks like the emphasis and efforts will be funneled towards obtaining a district win tomorrow... All hands on deck baby!

my opinion batters 1-5 have the ability to hit him...will they time will tell. The same question can be asked of Hardin can the hit Franklin? I am sure the answer is the same from the other side...I think it will come down to how many times a team can get their top of the line-up around to to bat and can a team take advantage of mistakes.

well i guess that is it our coach said all tournament team but i guess it was awarded with MVP recognition??? Austin Marshall and Ethan Franklin received it as well but just wanted to know if they had a list out...I figured Aaron Edelmon and Dylan Duplant had made it.

Who has a list of the all the players that made the Woodville all Tournament Team...I know a few but would like to see a complete list.

No doubt...fly balls are an issue but I know Coaches will make necessary adjustments...we have guys that can catch fly balls. Yes Tyler Brown hit a screamer over the left field fence...great hit!

Should start Franklin Marshall rotation this next week. I would have to agree that Franklin should get the bump on Tuesday and Marshall on Friday. Hopefully our young pitching staff can do good work. So far the combination of the two has worked out.

ok...here we go...who wins this thing...Kountze or HJ? Here is my thought...who ever can hit the ball and least number of errors walks away champ...LOL? Does H J have gas in the bullpen? I know Kountze does...Franklin only threw like 25 pitches today and still have Braden Franklin and Bradley Peters in relief.

Just want to say good job to both Kountze Lions and Buna Cougars...If both teams could see that kinda of Baseball for the entire preseason they would all the better for it...Austin Marshall good job on the Bump and Ethan Franklin way to go on strong finish from the hill. Great job team as a whole...you guys hit well and backed your pitcher defensively!

What happened to Woodville...errors?...walks? Or is HJ that tough?

[/quote] You know I have not seen one Kountze supporter running their head about much of anything...just being supportive of our kids and as far as Buna goes they are a quality ball team made up of a lot of great young men...so win or loose and one of those two outcomes has to happen with this bracket set up...I'm sure Kountze and or Buna will hold their heads high and win or loose with dignity.
