They still fight the numbers game. All 3 schools field a JV and Varsity. Lee has a 3rd team that only plays on Saturdays. We just have a lot of kids that work to help the family or to have the things they want. Sports take a back seat. Many work and play a sport. It's tough though. Baseball/softball is one of the few sports that seems to have good participation. Tennis at RSS and GCM do well too.

Too many kids that don't play football. Opening GCM only diluted the talent pool.

Very possible and very logical. GCM was bumped to 6A based on students at our Impact Early College High School that are not even on our campus. REL is way below the 5A cutoff. They could have easily been re-zoned to add some RSS kids and effectively make us all 5A. They could have built 2 freshman campuses and kept just REL and RSS. They could have combined REL and RSS and had 1 school the size of North Shore or Deer Park. We could designate a "football" campus similiar to what we do with swimming and water polo. If you want to swim or play water polo you have to go to RSS. It could be fixed. I doubt that it will.

That explains everything. GCM is a 2nd half team.

We will struggle. Always have. We just do not have the numbers necessary to take the next step right now.

PAM has more D1 players on their team RIGHT NOW, than GCM has had in it's entire schools history. So saying we can't play with SETX 5A teams is assinine.

Per RSS Football Twitter: Varsity will play Saturday at 6:00 at Stallworth Stadium vs Clear Lake.

We will be fine. Not too worried about them yet. Seeing an athletic team like PAM will be an excellent measuring stick and provide lots of coaching opportunities. 6A will be tough. Just do not have the numbers necessary to match up with some teams. It's just how it is. We will show up every week and see what happens. Beat Tomball Memorial!
