You are right but that was his choice. I was told that responsibility will be passed on to a current football on staff not the new basketball coach. I was told that the new coach will only be coaching basketball and track. My source could be wrong.

Coach Kenebrew did not coach football last season. He only coached basketball and track. I spoke with him and he said he loved football, so he was at all the games cheering the guys on. Good luck to the new coach. And to clear it up Coach Kenebrew is not leaving HF because of football.

Because Monday is a holiday, teams can play on it. But you are right, if a school is closed because of weather, most team can't play on a closed day.

I spoke to Coach Kenebrew before the interview, he said by looking at the UiL brackets HF has never in the playoffs 1st as far as the records show. If they were Co-Camps, they must have lost the flip or seeding game. This year is the 1st year that they are out right champs and are going in as the 1st seed. In '99 HF went into the playoff as the 2 seed. And got beat by Kirbyville in the 1st round. Also he did say district champs not co-champs. He was not trying to take anything away from that '99 team.

The pirates play a great team and will push for a playoff spot this year. Also I heard that HF played today without their football players in this one. Also they were down 2 starters due to injuries. HF played with only 6 guys. I think Coach Kenebrew will get the rolling soon.

I looked at HF roster last year and every player on it went to Middle School in HF.
