If Newton comes out sloppy on offense like they did against EC it could be a really close game.

Crockett is legit. They match up pretty good with the eagles.

BUT.....Newton by 16pts.

I think Newton has definately had the tougher pre and post season road. I honestly don't think waskom would have made it down that road.........but that's a mute point and it's just my opinion.

Having watched the Sonora game on film, Newton can definately beat them and match up pretty good.
Having watched the first half of the Blanco game live, Newton can shoot themselves in the foot, as most any HS team can do.

Waskom has speed and disguises the ball well offensively.
Defensively, they gave up the edge a lot and Sonora burned the corners up with the run.

I don't see Newton getting out coached and they have the experience to get it done.

turnovers allowed Blanco to stay in this game early. Great job on a second half shutout and blowout.

Blanco had a really good team.

Just Getting to Jerryworld is not enough.

So, Franklin gives up 4 consecutive TDs and 28 points in the first half, 49 points overall, but has the best defense, when Rogers gives up 13 points at half?  Franklin's DEs were small and crashed too hard on all the run plays, giving Newton the edge.  But, ok.  guess that's how you see it.  I don't.

I've seen 6 Blancos films, 7 Rogers films and 9 Franklins films. In my honest opinion, Franklin's defense is the best of all 3. Franklin, in my opinion, is also just a better team than both.

Turnovers can change a game. If Newton does what they have done all year, they should win the game.

I won't predict a score because +1 gets you to Dallas.

I think this is going to be a great game, and I think centerville has a chance. Would love to watch.

I would like to see Centerville pull it off but it's gonna be tough.

Rogers is a lot better at containing speed , Malvets is a beast he will run right up the middle and will give Newton D a lot of trouble all night .. Rogers wins by 14 , going to be like Cameron or white oak all over again . Newton sucks at woodforest from what I hear .

It is so hard to play a schedule like the Eagles have played and not have injuries, especially after 13 weeks. It is a testament to their conditioning, off season program, talent base and overall management.

After the game against Franklin, one would expect to have a few banged up kids. Franklin is a very respectable program and was tough defensively.

I've seen Rogers play on film in 2 different games. They do nothing fancy. They remind me a lot of Franklin except not as good, in my opinion.

If Newton doesn't turn the ball over, stays healthy and avoids stupid penalties, they should end this season with a win. The Eagles are good enough.

Great game!! Very physical and both teams brought the hats. The Phillips kid (#3) and # 63 were defensive beasts. Speed killed them in the end........ although the pass coulda killed them if Eagles could catch. Lol

Rogers is physical as well. Franklin beat them 37-7 first game of the year..........a lot has changed sine week 0.

Newton will blow franklin out. I've seen Franklin and they are a good, well diciplined football team but the teams they played weren't. Leon beat them in the final district game and Leon exited in the first round.

They can't match up with the speed and athleticism.

I don't think it will be close......bout like 2 years ago.

I agree they were tested weeks ago but I wasn't talking about regular season. I meant as far as the playoffs go their first real test wll be against Franklin IMO. But we shall see

Saw Franklin play this past week. WOW. To me, they are totally overrated. I mean they are an extremely diciplined team and they do the little thing well. I know it takes the little things but Newton completely out athletes them. They stay basic on the lead and counter. And by all means they run it well. But I don't see it being a close game at all. Prolly bout like 2 years ago although Newton had a more potent "O" then.... IMO.

Dublin.....on film they are pretty big but not much speed. I'll watch them some more this week, but WT should have no problem formulating a plan.

Lol. I think Kirbyville will be in for a dogfight. Seen film on KVille and they are decent but definitely beatable by elkhart. I personally don't think it will be a blowout........Elkhart by 6.
