I was hoping to see the good little rivalry games we’ve had going with PNG and Nederland for many years now, continue on with non-district games but something tells me they don’t want to play the Pirates anymore. Now we lose the greatest rivalry in all of SETX, The Battle of the Black and Gold is no more. Nederland loses their biggest rival with Vidor moving down to 4a.

Oh yea good point, I guess they do. Will they have the football districts as well as B-ball? Maybe we could have an all Orange County roundball district with Vidor, WOS, BC, LCM and OF that would be cool.

Yea thankfully my Bookie was brokering some energy deals in the Ukraine. 🤫 So Vidor and Orangefield will be the new kids on the local 4a block next year. Do you think they could add 2 schools to the current district or would that be too many teams?

It definitely seems like a very competitive district, close games all the time. It should be fun to join in next year, although Vidor may not have much fun against Silsbee or HJ.

🤯 Me frantically trying to figure out who #16 is on Vidor and why he won’t step his damn game up. Come on, we need you 16!

That’s disappointing but 40 points a game ain’t gonna get it done.

He went pretty far in the playoffs with Vidor a couple of consecutive years and he didn’t have any P5 college prospects. Beat good Ozen and Central teams but I’m not sure why he can’t beat PAM or make a good playoff run with Hef and this NED squad.

I’ve heard all about the refs in Cleveland, we had a very hotly contested game there last year. The refs definitely didn’t do us any favors, hopefully we get a good crew.

If the Pirates can get through the next 2 games unscathed at Cleveland and vs Dayton then the district race for the 4th spot will be very interesting down the stretch.

38-30 Vidor wins I feel like we stole this one but it feels good and we are still in the race for a playoff spot. Free throws were clutch down the stretch tonight.
