    Coaches can only do so much in getting a kid recruited.  If you want your kid to be out there and get noticed go to camps and combines, fill out prospect questionnaires, send your highlight video to all the schools the student wants to play for, and use the free recruiting databases to get your name out there.  It is a collaborative effort with the student, parents and then the coaches. Not every school will answer you back but you will get some responses.

    Chevoski wasnt the whole team... Livingston has other players that are big play makers.  This year  Livingston will show what they are capable of.  Their defense has key players that are returning for the 2013 season as well as the offense.  I wouldn't count them out just yet! GO LIONS!!!!!

    I'm just saying that nobody really knows about Livingston year in and year out. Most perople don't see them play even in thier own district. When teams travel to Livingston, alot of fans don't go either because of small stands, too long of a drive, or the horrendous announcer. Therefor, most posters on here can only go by what stats are availible and scores from games. Nobody really knows about the Lions. I did have the guys I spoke with say that this years team isn't as good as the last several years. They said that Livingston rely's on one player too much to rune right and run left and once defenses stop him then it's hard for the Lions to mover the ball. They also said that the defense is horrible. Just going off of what these guys said.

    I have watched every game that Livingston has played with the exception of the Nederland game because of prior engagements that night. Livingston defense is not horrible at all, they made to tweek a few thing but horrible they are not. I know you stated that you are gathering your information from hearsay or second hand. But if you really want to watch the defense go to polkcountytoday.com and the editor usually has highlights of the football games on there. That is if you want to form your own opinion than relying on someone else's. The defensive front has come a long way since the begining of the season #58, 76, 34 and a host of others do excellent in containing offense in my opinion. But I guarantee you if #58 0r #34 get loose in that backfield the QB will be seeing the stars in the sky! LOL  The team as a whole has improved over the season. Do I think they will go past the first round? Yes. But ultimately it is the team that has fewer penalties and turnovers that wins. I wish both teams the best of luck and pray for no injuries and safe travels ! GO LIONS!!!!

Why don't you go to PolkCountyToday.com and watch the highlight reels of the game and you will see our defense bring it! #2 , #58, # 5 ,# 67, #34, #16 and various others that do an awesome job of defense. When you watch some of the reels then come back and post about not much of defense. I say Livingston all the way!!

    why watch a highlight reel to asses a defense. anyone (especially the local media) can put together film of the local team making great plays. stats now, that tells a different tell. and the stats say Liv is giving up 29 pts a game and nearly 300 yards. that's far from stellar.

    I remember this same topic last season and a handfull of Livingston fans where speaking of how great Livingston was and so on.  Last time I checked Vidor walked away with a win that game.  I look for that same win to come again in our direction Friday.  ;)  I'm sticking with my 28-14 win by the Pirates

    Apparently you did not read my retraction of the wrong score.. hence the strikeout of  the sentence with the wrong information. A win is win of course not denying that. E tu brute! We will meet Friday and let the best opponent win! Lions all the way!
