  1. Yup, you're right. That being said, HJ or Silsbee finds a way to win this district as well as their own
  2. Well, maybe we can start a sausage race like they do in pittsburg, and he can be the fat one that gets hit in the head with a bat as he runs by.
  3. Hmm... but how many astros and astros' fans did he piss off when he chased the money to new york?
  4. here's what you do... get out early, and park in a spot where you know it will be dark. wait until someone who is really sickly and weak looking comes along, and physically overpower them. steal the tickets, and tie up the people, forcing them into their trunk. as you leave the game, let them out, and be sure to tell them the outcome of the game to be considerate.
  5. Why do bad calls need to remain in sports if there is an efficient way of eliminating them. I can guarantee you that a referee who makes a bad call feels good when it's reversed. It gives the officials a chance to get out from under a bad call, and not be known as "the ref that cost us the game last year". Why should what the officials say stand when they are completely wrong, and video proves it.
  6. Same colors, but instead of the hawks, we'd be the Hardin-Jefferson Hoosiers.
  7. this might be a close, competitive game... i say OF takes a close one, 40-33
  8. What is South Houston's record, and what do ya'll know about their team?
  9. hopefully houston can keep this lead and put the game away.
  10. yeah, i used to watch them when women's golf or curling wasn't on...
  11. i didn't have any coaches in high school that i would trust to race for my playoff hopes...
  12. I have no problem with this... if you limit it to boundary plays, then it's not going to be used that often. I watch baseball every night during the season, and these plays don't happen too often. I would think that there might only be four or five instances a night across the entire league that this is needed, so the delays won't occur too much. Also, if you have someone looking upstairs, they'll often know what happened before the pitcher is ready to pitch again, or before a runner is through with his homerun trot around the bases. Also, it will help make sure that these calls are correct. It sucks to lose a game on a HR or a ball down the line that the umpire can't really see. Remember the snickers commercial? Fair, or foul?
  13. I'm gonna guess that this will come out to roughly a million dollars a win.
  14. I had to root against ya'll last night, but tonight i hope you beat the spurs by 50. I hate the spurs! I can't help it. cheap defensive plays, boring to watch, and about 2 american born players on the whole team. Last year during the finals i couldn't stay awake. They're almost as bad to watch as the 90's Jazz teams.
  15. I'm more concerned about the playoff scernios and secernios and sarnarios. It's "scenario" people! Also, the they're, their, there confusion drives me nuts . I usually let a few typos slide, but when people make posts and mess up in the title it blows my mind.
  16. Wow... it seems like last week opened some eyes. I think png CAN win this game, but i don't think they WILL win. Dayton wins in a game that stays close for awhile until they pull away late.
  17. This is absolutely ridiculous... and with only one last road trip left in the season. I hope he can't find another job after this. I know i wouldn't hire a coach who had abandoned his players...
  18. Every coach handles this situation differently. Some want to keep their starters fresh and safe from injury, and some want to keep them in rhythm and don't want them sitting out most of the last game before playoffs. Both approaches have merit.
  19. i hope he doesn't decide to come back to houston.
  20. I think PNG Proud is right...
  21. can't he just go play in the canadian league or something?
  22. don't hate me too much, i root for the rockets as long as they aren't playing the mavs (i spent my formative years growing up in dallas). i hope they rip the spurs a new one tomorrow.
  23. it was like a cat toying with a mouse... the mavs kept it interesting until they got bored, then they ripped them apart. all jokes aside, i'm impressed with the rockets this year. they kept it close for a long time. i really think they're one piece of the puzzle away from becoming an elite team.
  24. better game than i thought it would be... let's go MAVS!
