  1. The EC QB(Thomas) will lead in both.

I would have to agree, but...

The Anahuac QB (Pesina) was really good on the rush last year as well.  And he was young, just a soph.  He ran for a lot of yards.

And, Hardin's QB (Nolan) avg over 100 yards per game in the air.  He can throw.  I think he's the best passer in the district.

What is the Buna QB's name and rank, (going to be a senior, right)?

  2. A Hardin player got ejected for this wed. against Deweyville.  It was a close play, catcher recieved the ball about 2 feet from the plate up the baseline (100% blocked) and the Hardin player slid head first, basically diving into the catcher.  Didn't look malicious, but it did look rough, and it got him immediately ejected.

  3. Remsing for Hardin complete game with the win.  Only a few hits on either side.  Game ended on a strange call at 2nd base...

slow roller to short, flips to 2nd to get that out and the player that had slid into 2nd jumped up and interfered with the feilder trying to make the throw to first, ump called them both out.

Deweyville's pitcher, pitched the whole game also and did a good job too.

  4. I agree about respecting authority.  But I also think, umpires should be humble, respectful, and professional, at all times.  I can't stand an umpire, (volunteer LL, or HS) with a power trip.  The type who wants every one in the park or stadium to know he's running the show.  The absolute best umpires I can think of, I often don't remember after a game.  Fans should shut up if they don't know the game, but good umps seem to always ignore those fans.  That's a good umpire imo.

  5. Hardin held true to form: giving up 4 runs in the 1st!  They've done this same stuff in every district game except Anahuac. EC scoring 4 on ALOT of Errors.

EC looked good at the plate against Hardins ace (Clements).  Clements got ejected late in the game, but it probably didn't matter.  Their bats looked weak against EC's starting pitcher.  One of the only bright spots on Hardins offense is Jr. Shortstop Jordan Nolan, who had a couple of good solid line drive hits.

  6. Parker pitched very well for Splendora, George for Liberty pitched equally as well.  As I said in my prediction, a low scoring, good battle, where Liberty came out on top.  It was a GREAT game by both teams.  Liberty bats were not intimidated by the speed of Parkers pitching.  And George had all his stuff working while hitting his spots.  Great game and good job Panthers!

  7. I think Warren can give Buna a good game, and really, that's all it takes sometimes.  A good game to the end can go either way.  Buna looks as good as we all thought they would, but honestly, most everyone in the district so far has played them well.  No blow-outs yet by Buna.  Anything can happen, good luck Warren, (pulling for ya) make the district race more intresting...
