  1. I guess some of you showed great class by saying "did you see Tramain obliterate #3 from Hardin? Hit of the game and possibly for the season for EC" and "He lit him up big time." It is hard to show support for teams in the district when they talk smack about an opponent they already beat. Ya'll should be looking ahead, not gloating about who did what and such. Plus, it is also hard to show support for a team that wins year in and year out, sometimes at the very low expense of blowing out teams like us when we were bad. I would think that guys like you would have developed a better sense of class after winning all those years. Ya'll should be saying "Good game guys. See you next year", not "whoo-hoo, we hung over 50 again on Hardin, and did ya see that hit TT put on one of their guys." Just as I hope that the trend has turned for us, from losers to winners, and I hope that if we do continue the tradition of winning that we develop some semblance of class and pride in our program and towards others when we play them. I know by posting on here that I have never tried to tear down or insult a program, but EC's fans are making it hard for me to respect them.
  2. Ok folks, ya'll won the game...no need to go overboard congratulating yourselves. By the way, TT did stop him, but it was a far cry from "obliterate" or "lit him up". I've seen harder hits than that in a JH game. #3 was trying to dive for the end zone and TT just stopped him, plus he had the angle. It was just a stop, pure and simple. It shouldn't be worthy of ECSPN's version of "Jacked Up!", but if you guys think so, you must be scrabbling really hard for material. I am surprised that Hardin's defense did not play that well against ya'll. I have seen much better defense from the Hardin bunch than ya'll did last Friday. It was really kind of out of character for them to not play well. The 3rd and long conversions killed us. It seemed like we stopped ya'll the first 2 downs then opened the gate for ya'll. I will say this #15 is a hoss. That is a big boy!
  3. Well, I know what killed us tonight. We gave up too many 3rd and long conversions. It looked likedefense wasn't ready for EC. On the 50-something yard pass play that EC scored in the 1st qtr, no one covered the eligible receiver that caught the TD pass. He was so wide open that a grandma could have scored on that play. Oh well, at least we are still in the playoffs. It would have been nice to beat EC b/c we have always seemed to lose to EC all the time. P.S. TT looked pretty good even though I could tell that he was hurting. It is amazing what adrenaline can do for someone who is hurting.
  4. Thanks for answering the question about the official. I do have to say, in my defense, that nowhere in my post did I say that the Hardin boys were looking for revenge. I merely commented that "they will be determined not to be embarrassed like last year." Any way you look at it, a 52-0 is an embarrassment even if the other team did not want to run up the score. Also, I have never said that EC wasn't classy so please don't put words or "inferences" in my mouth. I am not like some posters on here that talk smack. I try to post well-intentioned and personal opinions/thoughts on here. Now that I have vented a bit, I do have to say that I look forward to one bang-up game tonight! May the best team win!!
  5. Yeah, if it is a bee or a single wasp, but obviously you don't know anything about hornets. They swarm and they all attack you...not just one hornet, but a whole bunch of them. ;D
  6. That may be true and all, but the fact remains that the Hardin boys WILL remember that 52-0 beatdown. It doesn't matter that EC wanted to end it...and what do you mean "Hardin official"? I thought it was a TASO official, not a "Hardin official" that was in charge of the game. Revenge may not be the key word, but they will be determined to not be embarrassed like last year. Anyway, I think it will be a game to watch and enjoy, but Hardin wins 34-21.
  7. You don't get it, do you? Read your own post and tell me what is wrong with it. Look at it objectively and without bias and you should see it. ***In case you still didn't get it... You said Hardin is a passing TEAM going against a division 1 secondary PLAYER. A TEAM beats a PLAYER every time. The division 1 secondary player can't cover every eligible receiver that Hardin has. So please read your posts before you actually post it.
  8. I agree that officiating in all of the sports does need to be improved, but calling Kountze dirty in basketball implies that you don't know what you are talking about. I know the Kounzte basketball coach and he doesn't condone dirty basketball, but he will run, run, run you into the ground. He has won 2 state titles with Kountze and I am happy for him so don't badmouth his program. I have a feeling that you are venting against Kountze basketball b/c EC hasn't won a district title (or for that matter, a state title) since he has been there (I could be wrong, but don't think so).
  9. Sounds like it will be one heck of a game!!! Wow, 10,000 possible fans at Dayton Bronco Stadium???? I only wish I could be there b/c I was there at Dayton in the mid-90's. However, I am at a different school now so I will be rooting for my team come Friday night. Good luck Broncos and Indians...let this be a clash of the titans (injury-free, of course)!!!!
  10. If you look most everywhere, especially in this area, that the visitor's side is usually smaller than the home side. Dayton's is no exception, but their visitor side is more than adequate, in my opinion. I believe it will easily seat 3,000 visitors. Plus, you have to account for the several hundred that like to stand by the fences and watch instead of sitting down, plus the several hundred kids that will be wandering around looking/talking with friends instead of sitting down. Trust me, Dayton's visitors side has more than enough space for the dedicated bleacher fan.
  11. Don't you mean the Bucs are staying ;D (it is a home game for you.)
  12. try again...if Hardin beats EC then EC has 2 district losses so no three way tie for 1st place (Buna and Hardin would both only have 1 district loss)...Buna gets 1st due to beating Hardin (assuming Buna beats Warren)..Hardin gets 2nd by beating EC but losing to Hardin...two way tie between EC and Kountze...Kountze gets 3rd playoff spot by beating EC. (or it could be determined by points scored..I don't know) If EC beats Hardin then 2 way tie for 1st place between EC and Buna, EC wins 1st due to beating Buna...Buna gets 2nd by beating Hardin and Hardin gets 3rd playoff spot by beating Kountze.
  13. I wasn't there; that is why I asked...but at the Buna/Hardin game I seem to recall hearing #77 taunting the Hardin crowd. I wonder why the coaches let the Buna boys do that...it seems like I hear something about every game with Buna (I'm probably exaggerating).
  14. I haven't seen him yet and hope to see the Hardin/EC game next Friday, but if he is as hyped up like everyone makes him out to be then he probably does run out of bounds every chance he gets b/c he wants to get a scholarship to a good school (can't fault him for that since a serious injury could derail that) and due to the fact that every school that plays EC is going to key on him when he is on offense, the risk of injury is increased. Dang, got off track there for a sec....Congrats Kountze...sounds like it was a good game!
  15. a bit confused by the wording in red in the quote... If hardin beats EC, then EC would have 2 district losses so there would not be a 3 way tie between Hardin (since Hardin would still only have 1 district loss), EC and Kountze. But I do kind of see what you are saying...it would be a 2 way tie for 3rd place/playoff spot, but, say Hardin does beat EC, then Ktz would get the 3rd spot due to head to head win over EC. Say this scenario plays out like that then, 1.Buna (wins district with one loss and win over Hardin) 2.Hardin (has to beat EC for this spot) 3.Kountze (Hardin has to beat EC) or if Hardin loses...then 1. EC (wins district with one loss and win over Buna) 2. Buna 3. Hardin (gets the spot due to head to head win over KTZ)
  16. congrats Kountze...I think you surprised us all tonight. I knew ya'll could play after your game with Hardin, but this really caps off your season. What a turnaround for ya'll!!!! BTW, how did you score your touchdowns? Are they weak in the secondary with the exception of TT? I wouldn't be surprised if the big ol' running back from Kountze had his way with EC...that is a big ol' boy!!!
  17. you must be biased for Kountze in general b/c I have seen her play several times this year and while she does hit very hard, she has to have a perfect set to hit it hard. The mark of a great hitter is a hitter that can make something out of nothing and she has yet to prove that to me. However, she is a JR so next year ought to be a good year for her (mark it up to a learning curve). Accuracy is something she needs to work on. The last game I saw her play, she only hit 3-4 balls hard and 2 went for kills (the others were digged by the defense) and I saw quite a few balls go out of bounds when she hit them. Now if this had been a thread for best blocker, then Johnson wins it hands down. She is always around the ball on the front row defensewise.
  18. Sounds good to me, Coach! Thanks for the kudos and your boys can play too! Sounds like it was a doozy against EC...
  19. It doesn't matter if no one watched Hardin's games, Jordan Nolan, based on his season stats, would still qualify as one of the highest rated passers because there is a mathematical formula to determine passer rating. He has over 2400 passing yards with 30 TDs and 6 INTs. That accounts for a high passer rating coupled with his completion percentage (I believe that it is in the 60% range). Makes me wonder how many sacks the other teams have put on Nolan...I bet you could put it in the single digits (that means under 10).
