Yep, about as funny as a 4 game losing streak. ;)
all road games against The Village, St Thomas, St Pius, and Concordia with two of our starters playing injured not to mention they were all close games except the Village where our starting PG didn't even play. All those teams would beat every team ranked ahead Kelly except Kountze for sure. And Pius and The Village  would have good games with Kountze and almost any team in the Big School rankings. Pius already had a good game with Nederland earlier this year, lost by seven. And Village had a great time destroying your Tigers at the Nederland tourney  ;) not to mention Kelly has beat Cleveland, Big Sandy, and beat Woodville in one of the worst games we have played all year. I'm not mad we dropped or anything, I could care less, I just think it's funny that some people even think of the teams above Kelly to even be around Kelly's level. Kelly is WAY better than those tests ahead of them they would run Broaddus out of the country much less the gym. A matter of fact I would put Kelly right between Ozen and Cleveland in the Big School polls. I just don't see how a 4 game ROAD losing streak against really good teams coming off of an 11 game win streak drops you from 2nd to 9th.

 3.
If Kelly ends up losing to St. Thomas and finishes the season with a 5 game losing streak, should we still rank them #2 in our SETX rankings? Sorry, couldn't resist. ;D
yes because they are still better than every team ahead of them except kountze.
 4. Now, I believe, with the Kelly loss last night if they beat St Thomas on Tuesday by more than 6 and Pius beats Concordia Kelly will win district but if Kelly loses the game then Concordia wins their game Kelly gets dead last in District and misses playoffs. Crazy.
 5. Hopefully Kelly will do better than last year. It's not hard to do better than 0-10. :-\
 6. BS by 25+ SP is not the clear second best team in district. It's all a toss up Imo past Big Sandy
 7. This district is extremely competitive this year. All these teams are pretty even.
 8. Knowles at Kelly has won State titles if that's what we're going by.
 9. The teams Kelly has lost to would beat all the teams above Kelly handily besides Kountze.
 10. Really surprised Kelly dropped from the second spot I think Kelly is better than all the schools above them except kountze
 11.
Mosley from HD is the best player in district.
false. BS has at least 3 players better. And Sabine Pass has some players around the same talent level.
I have watched full games of his. About 8 or 9 of them but it's kind of hard for me to go find those game films.

[Hidden Content] Not sure about soft..He has definitely played up with his summer and international play..Honestly, he impressed me more than the Harrison twins.
So he IS the kid who was the MVP of  the tourney the US Jr Natl team, yet some think he is too 'soft'? ::) Funny, bc when I talk to his AAU coach, he tells me that Winslow is legit. Hmmm?? Who to believe?? ::)
It's just Dicky V saying he's soft. The kid is phenomenal future NBA star mark my words.
Are these the same guys that said that Westbury Christian's Ndudi Ebi was a future NBA star, and I said BACK THEN, that his toughness was the only thing that would keep him out of the league? He was 6'10" and SKILLED! Not tough, and could not guard on the perimeter...How is that working out for him now...Justice Winslow IS TALENTED...WHEN I SAW HIM he was not playing with ANY toughness...Deja vu? Perhaps...Good news is he is only a junior...Time is on his side.
well we all have our own opinions and ill stick to mine. We will see in a few years.
 14. [Hidden Content] Dang he looks REALLY soft. And some of these highlights are against Episcopal who is definitely a top team. EDIT: [Hidden Content] Just another clip of how soft he is.

 16.
He is playing at St. John's...SPC league... ::) ::)...He is talented, but SUPER SOFT, and though he would be an above average talent in 4A/5A, he would not stand out as spectacular as he is now.  I saw him in November and was not impressed. He COULD have taken over the game against MUCH less talent, but just floated along and blended in..He was not that good then.  HCYA's Justin Jackson, is a really talented player with great upside as well, but once again, that home-school league is not helping his game either. Summer ball will hopefully save them both. Yes Bluedove, AAU is STILL the devil, but it is a necessary evil for some!  8)
this whole thing is ridiculous the SPC, first off, has some pretty dang good teams Episcopal would easily handle ANY team in this area and I think would have a good game with any school in Texas. Kinkaid is pretty good so is St John's themselves and Houston Christian is pretty good to. And Winslow doesn't need AAU to save anything he played on the US junior national team and is a top recruit what is there to save? Also He isn't soft, I've seen him play many times. Also he would DOMINATE 4a and 5a too.
 17.
Kelly was actually ahead 22-19 at the end of the 1st qtr.  But the injury to Wise was huge.  This was a game were his ability to get to the basket would have made a big difference.  In fact he was injured on a drive to the basket were he was fouled and came down on someone's foot.  The problem for Kelly was that both their post players had 3 fouls at the end of the 1st.  The Village was getting the ball inside on every possesion.  When one of Kelly's post fouled out with about 2:30 left in the 2nd, the score was 34-33 The Village.  The Village closed out the half on a 8-0 run to lead 42-33 at the half.  The score was 60-43 at the end of 3rd and the final was 77-56 as The Village just slowly built on their lead in the second half.  Kelly played the entire second half with the same 5 players as the injury to Wise and Haught foul out left them with no subs.  Another point, The Village played their starters the entire game.  In fact, their starting 5 played the entire 4th period and ended the game on the floor.  The Village only had 6 players score and only played 7 or 8 guys the entire game. Kelly was led in scoring by Andrew Pace -17 pts, Thomas Falgout - 15 pts and Cam Frank -12 pts.  Taylor scored 21 for The Village, but the damage was really done by #10 - 22 pts and #13 - 17 pts, their two post players who dominated the game inside.  Sorry no names, but I understand #13 is being recruited by several D-1 schools and I would think #10 could play somewhere.  Kelly goes back to district play Friday at St. Thomas.  Hopefully Wise will recover by then and be able to play.
I would really like to play The Village again at home with Wise and hopefully no foul trouble. Would be a really good game I think.
 18. Kelly held Isaiah Taylor pretty well actually. Especially in the first half. Kelly was actually up until just before half time. Kelly's arguably best guard, Shad Wise, left the game 2 minutes into it with a hurt ankle. And one of Kelly's only 2 posts fouled out about halfway through the second. Only 5 players scored for Kelly and only 5 players really played the whole game pretty much.

Great game though and the fight, that's just classic Thomas fans.
I always assume its pius starting fights, pretty safe bet...punks
the Thomas student section at basketball games has always been a crazy one.

 21. Kelly won 39-38 Charlie Haught made a buzzer beater lay up for Kelly to take the lead. Kelly played a pretty rough game but pulled it out in the end which is all that matters. We were done by about 15 at one point I believe.
