1. to the loser that started this thread, obviously, you wasn't at the game to see the hard hits PAM's defense was giving Manvel. PAM had not one,not two,but three KEY defensive starters to go out before the game was played.on the first play of the game, and at halftime. not saying PAM would have won if these players were playing, but the chances of them winning would have been greater. you calling mgb jealous, everyone on this thread talking negative about PAM was butt hurt over them being the BEST team in this area. before anyone open those sewer traps, put PAM in 4a and NO TEAM would be spared on this board. playing local teams is something that has to be done due to budgets, other teams being available etc....hmmm...pam's predistrict and district was softer last year and they made it to the semi's so all this talk about the schedule didn't help them is crap! we gave our congrats to MANVEL AND WISHED THEM LUCK..see game thread. i guess we supposed to stick around and complain and cry?? smh...
2. did anyone tell him turnovers are part of football??? lol i don't think it will be a blowout. i got da coogs by 2-3td's
3. i agree with the call. the two turnovers and letting manvel score with very little time on the clock is what did them in. i remember in the NS game the kids wanted to go for it on 4 and 2 and they didn't get and that was ball game pretty much. will to bet if romar wasn't out,you would have seen him go for it.
4. no set back. they gambled on a 4down play and didn't get it...if i remember correctly. i think they will pull this one out. the defense has improved ALOT. offense, IMO has gotten a little better, but pretty much the same. the defense puts the offense in good field position.
5. first off, good game to manvel. they made the plays they needed to and good luck the rest of the way. as far as the titans, well lets just say they fought hard and had alot of the unexpected happen to them. that's not an excuse, just part of the game. we have alot of loud mouth idots in the stands and one or two on the message boards that think they know everything. harrison coached a good game due to the injury bug showing up at the game. i think PAM scored enough points, but didn't stop manvel from scoring. two turnovers on our side of the field is what killed us today. despite not having romar, cockrell, and jenkins going down at halftime, they played hard and kept it interesting. i think next year PAM might go through alot of growing pains, but it's looking good in two years!!
6. well MBG, looks like PAM will have FB Dulles, assuming we get past Manvel....
7. hoping the coogs mop the floor with ozen(personal reasons >:()....tony brown didn't look al that impressive vs PAM...just put a hat on him.
Cuz I was proving a point!  See y'all at the game...
and the point??? other teams have prior agreements. some schools are in districts thathave 8-10 teams(katy is in a large dist) so to find someone to play is harder, especially the location of where PAM is. the choices are: go to LA and play weak 3a or 4a schools which LC would be the closest and that's darn near 2 hrs. go west and try to find someone in houston,or do what PAM use to do...midland lee, tyler lee,cc ray, alice, smithson valley, spring, sring west field, woodlands, lamar. that's not even counting the boo boo schools PAM had to settle for...aldine,aldine nimitz, bellaire, westbury, westside, clear lake, south houston, to name a few. that's over the past 10 years. i'm sure i left out some,so don't come spewing that trash from your mouth in terms of scheduling for PAM and how they need to play this team and that team...if you don't know or have a clue just ...shhhh...hush.
Wooosaaa....  Wooosaaa....  Calm down now.  I already knew that, but I'm saying if PAM is so elite, teams should be lined up to play them.  As for travel, look at the west Texas teams.  They have it a lot worse.
who said PAM was elite??? elite to me means we have the hardware to back it up. however, they are the best team in the golden triangle area. also i'm sure other teams look at travel expenses too with the economy in all so traveling to PA might not work for them as well.
9. Titans smash mavs...manvel fans scratching heads saying "but we were sooo good in district...what happend??"
well i'm sorry ice cream boy,but unless you want to contibute to the travel budget for PAISD,shut your trap. also those schools might be below avg,but since all three PA schools are gone, we have lost tradition in playing local teams. if we want to drop bmt, fine, but pick up the mid county schools or try to atleast. as far as people thinking we need to play 5a powerhouses the whole preseason, the last few years PAM has done fine without it. what kills me is,soon as PAM lose in the playoffs or lose to a good team "bandwagon" fans wanna complain about having a cupcake schedule, but be at the game yelling "PA..PA...PA...PA" when play the "creampuff" schools.SMFH!! >:(
13.
Mouse...you don't know much about football do you?  To throw for that many yards with that TD to pick ratio is impressive...and the stats match their record.  Fisk certainly doesn't throw the ball that well...no matter what your "Homer" vision tells you and the stats will show that as well.  Without Rucker, PAM's passing game is in trouble.  Just the facts brother...you can choose to ignore them if you want.  I've been doing this a long time...and not as a spectator. The Titans can make it happen but they have to minimize mistakes and play well in all 3 phases...offense has to sustain drives to keep the defense off the field...and the special teams can't choke and give up kick returns or miss PATs.  Remember, I have watched every play of every game this season...there is no mystery to the system.
because you are/were some type of coach or ex player, that makes know it all??hey jason garret is a pro coach and played...that ain't workin out so well now is it??...you ex jocks or pop warner coaches kill me with that mess. if you were worth what you claim to be,you wouldn't be on this board arguing with a "homer". you would be game planning to win a national title or too rich from playing in the pros to be on a high school football board. anyway, look at the district manvel are playing in before you attempt to give them a win against PAM. minus pearland, pull up that districts defenses and look at pass defense. like the poster said, they have done it twice without rucker being in the game. he's important yes,but it's not like a jamal charles thing. against LP,i don't think he would have been a big factor because LP did not blitz. they stayed home and clogged up the middle of the field, where rucker get his catches and yards. okay monday morning coach, what do you have now??? PAM kept LP defense on the field and scored. both teams scored five td's. it's no secret smart guy that PAM's special teams is not that good and the weakness is stopping the run. you are no guru sir. anyone watching a PAM game can see the weak spots. as far as stopping the run, have you noticed in ALL of PAM's game when a team has ran on them for about 3-4 series,PAM start shutting the run down?? yes sir,go look at the film.
14.
Those of you saying the PAM matches up 'well' or 'perfectly' with Manvel must not have paid attention to stats that Dave and I were talking about in the broadcast Friday night.  PAM has yet to face a team that can really throw the ball.....newsflash, Manvel can.  Their QB is the #1 5A QB in the STATE....almost 4K yards, 40+ TDs and only 8 INTs....his number one receiver has 1300 yards and 15 TDs.  I have maintained that the run game is PAMs obvious defensive weakness all season....but they haven't been tested through the air like Manvel will. PAM is gonna need a focused effort by the O-line, better playcalling (quit running every play to the short side of the field and don't call same plays back to back just because you picked up a chunk of yards the first time you ran it, don't go for a 2 pt conversion in the 1st quarter, etc.), clock management and the special teams has to show up (no blocked punts for safeties, no missed PATs).  Oh yeah....someone needs to take Rucker whatever he needs this week...chicken soup, orange juice, massage therapist, hyperbaric chamber....so that he can go on Sat.
my dead grand ma can throw for that in that district...good grief man... just like you said about PAM have not faced anyone that can really throw the ball, well guess what?? THEY HAVEN'T EITHER!!! and PAM can throw it. "stats" say so  ::)
15. actually PAM has gotten the easier road. well from one unofficial bracket. get past manvel,we should see brazosport/clute winner, the our friends houston memorial, the our rematch with LP or we play katy. see ya'll at channelveiw sat at 1:00
16. just getting in myself and yes, pure stupidity and embarrament cheering when that kid got hurt. once again special teams doomed us. why??? the blocked punt which gave them 2 points, the blocked xp,and xbox going for two on the first TD. minus that and you have a 35-35 ball game. good game LP and good luck. we lost rucker and they lost whitley. don't know for how long and how serious prayers to both young men.

20. upset over PAM and LP??? please lol...if the polls continue throughout the playoffs they would be #1 and #2. if north shore was in the poll, they would have tumbled to #5-#7 after the whipping LP put on them. heck they fell from #6 to #13 in the AP poll. imo, what should matter is,who keeps on and who goes home. i'm calling it right now, don't be so surprised to see 1-3 at the house after rd two. and #4 at the house after rd 3.
21. in regards to poohs statement,CS had some injuries that game as well as LP. imo, that would be a bad game to judge what LP is about. last weeks game will be by far the best to go on,simply because ALL starters were back and healthy. LP0175,you are slightly incorrect about PAM's defense. it's the exact same minus 5 guys. 4 lines backers and one saftey/db. otherwise, PAM has 7 returning starters on defense. yes the linebackers were a big cog in the clock, but they are still just as good.
22. i use it as entertainment, but i don't see how PAM can blow out brook and slip one and laporte beat the almighty NS and only gain one. the real head scratcher imo is how nederland keeps winning and never move from number 4 ;D :o
23. going to burst everyone's bubble that keep throwing in local stadiums(butch,lamar,pn-g,PAM) these might be okay stadiums for 1st rd only, unless there is a home and home flip. the location of where teams have to come from to play is not ideal for teams coming from houston area. the triangle is just a bad spot for playoffs games(pop warner is okay). 1st rd yes. otherwise stallworth and head west for venues after round 1.
