  1. Barrier kid is going to be something special to watch.  He knows the game and is accurate with his passes, but he is still a freshman and will only get better with time.  In regards to who is calling the plays I believe Neece is calling the bulk of them in collaboration with his offensive coordinator Jackson Gore.  Gore played for Neece in Kirbyville and know his offense like it is his own.  I believe Barrier has input on the passing game.  The game against Newton was closer than the score indicated.  I think Anahuac has a very good group of players this year and should win the district and hopefully make a run.

  3. Word out of Kirbyville is that Jerry Gore will once again be leading the Wildcats.  He was the softball coach for 13 years and has had a great deal of success in Kirbyville in years past and  hopefully he can the revive the program once again.

  4. Great game for six innings first time I have seen these two pitchers throw.  Lot of people for high school baseball game felt like playoffs.   McMillion wasn't as sharp as he could have been but was still dominate.  Kirbyville had some chances but could not capitalize on them.  Gore had Jasper's number for five and two thirds but Kirbyville made some mistakes in the outfield on three balls that should have been caught that lead to Jasper runs.  Both teams should get better and hopefully make a run in district and playoffs.

  5. Ok I post very little on this board just like to read what is said but the realty is that the better team won. Yes the refs where terrible for both aides but refs don't win or lose a game. If this is a head to head match up Kirbyville wins this game by 2 or 3 touchdowns. Let's look at the facts if points for seeding are not in the picture Kirbyville goes for it on 4th and two up by ten and most likely converts and goes on to score. Second Kirbyville up by ten late is not trying to throw ball to get to magic number of eleven so the incomplete pass/caused fumble does not occur and EC loses by at least 10 maybe 21. I take nothing away from either team good football game by two good teams.
  6. I complete agree that it was an accident but an accident that could have been prevented.  The outcome of the game would not have changed.  The only thing that would have changed is seven more points on the board and now Kirbyville is without their quarterback for this week maybe longer.  I have confidence that Tyler and Ballard will be able to handle the load and will do a good job.
