Great game wo-s...thanks for making it possible for me to listen to it. Coop, the way your acting is very immature. You can truly see someone's character in the face of defeat. Pretty low to even comment about next year already. It's easy to be nice to other people when you win, but when you lose...well yea. Again...good game to wo-s (playoffs is what counts anyways)

I know it's off the subject and a few years back...but doesn't Houston Davis hold the record for most consecutive loses in Texas high school football?

You know I cant wait until Silsbee meets up with Lumberton. I believe it could be a good game but I dont believe that Silsbee's Defense can hold Lumberton's o-line or their defense , but it Could be a good game.

HOUSTON DAVIS!!!! HOUSTON DAVIS!!!!!! Look here is the deal. I pull for any team in southeast Texas when it comes playoff time. Silsbee by far has the best looking kids. They are big, strong and fast. Yet every year they fall short come playoff time. Silsbee never lives up to the hype except in basketball. I hope this year is different and they prove me wrong but I doubt it. Go ahead and smite me.

How do we have the best looking kids when all these other schools are putting out D1 atheletes one after another?

I'm from PN-G and I specifically don't argue their merit into the top 5 because of last year's performance, but 3 teams from 20-4A that made it to the playoffs with Central going 4-deep?  Where is the logic?

Not that im saying silsbee should be 5th but Livingston isn't part of this area. Central lost a lot of returners I think even though i'm sure they will be fine. Dayton lost a whole lot I think but i'm sure they will be ok too. Guys, these are rankings. There just something to look at before the season. If you want to do your own, go for it instead of bashing other peoples.

Dayton being out of the readership area is what kept them out.

Don't place too much emphasis on these scrimmages. There fun to watch and see people play but they are no real game. I hate scores being posted in scrimmages because you never know who was playing the whole time. One team could have some second teamers in while the other has there first. Anyways...I hope LC-M has a great season under a new coach and gets on the right path.

i would like to say to the Silsbee fans,  second place is not that bad.  winning the Distric Championship is not that big of a deal.  i know because "aggie" told me and i believe everything aggie says. So keep that smile on your face, from last year and forget about WOS.

not much time left for allot of you to brag.  (silsbee) did you see the 2 pictures on "KOGT SPORTS". one picture shows what "Off Season Training" will do for you.  I will not comment on the other picture.

Why is that directed at silsbee?

Silsbee will scrimmage Kirbyville in place of kelly. Will be at Silsbee. Deweyville will be there as well scrimmaging Silsbee #2's and JV.

You can't train heart...ie-3rd and short and your players have nothing left in the tank and are hurting all over but they still give it there all because of there love and respect for either the game, the coaches, the fans,their family, or just themselves.

If those perennial powers are offering I can't see a logical reason to want to go to a perennial cellar dweller in Baylor.  I understand the coach recruited his brother but still.  If he wants the media spotlight and a qb position I'd think Michigan is the answer if they stick with Rodriguez as coach.

Well Michigan want be getting as nearly much spotlight with a 3-9 record last year. The only kind of spotlight they will be getting in the preseason will be how much they failed to fulfill expecations.

Our line was nothing special last year so I think it can only improve.

What does it really matter?  Just support your school in all their sports!

Oh yes. Bobby was an all state QB, holds all of Silsbee's passing records, and was an all SWC QB at UH, along with being a very good head coach of the Tigers that has led them to 6 playoff appearances in his 11 years as head coach of Silsbee.

Craig was a very good player, just not on the level as his older brother.

Had a quick stint out of town so missed some opportunities to trade the trash talk.  Back now and ready to go.  Can't wait for Friday night lights C-town vs H-J.  I think I cleared the gray area on how this game goes before I left town.  Little recap with small revise:  H-J from what I hear improved some on the defensive side of the ball but I can't get to nervous because they gave up 40+ to WOS and Silsbee.  WOS may have speed to match Ctown but Silsbee does not.  Saw a comment doubting that Ctown could be faster than H-J.  Not only faster than H-J, but quite possibly one of the fastest teams in the 3A playoff scene.  H-J fans pointed to the five turnovers in game one; well it was four and Cleveland had two in the game.  The starters for Cleveland left that game half way through the third quarter.  Cleveland wins this game and I hope by a ton.  Send a message and keep the mo going.

Do you have silsbee's 40 times or something? I don't see how you can make that statement since you have no idea. That's like me saying cleveland is not even close to one of the fastest teams in the playoff scene. See, i can do it too.
