Awww Shucks!! You mean I have been missing all of this good action between the Nederland and Beaumont contingent?  ;D....In town today during our bye week doing some recruiting....Should I head to Ford Park for HJ/Silsbee, or check out the young guns at Beaumont Central, or see Nederland smack Lumberton? Decisions, decisions!! I really miss my SE Texas family! 8)

The AAU circuit makes it EASIER to evaluate and locate kids. Remember that while the high school season is going on, the college season is going at the same time.  You guys that know me, know how I really have never cared for AAU basketball, but unfortunately it has become a very necessary tool in recruiting.

We (Midwestern State) have been invited and have declined the invite...No disrespect, but the SLC, has ZERO appeal...Why would we leave a situation where we are getting more revenue, having a chance to win NCAA championships, to come to the Southland? What is the motivation in that? Division I? No, thanks.

I think had they not closed Hebert in 82, they may have had a few more in them...

[/quote] Isolated incident EIGHT years ago...That was a dumb comparison....Baseball players cheat yearly...Heck, from the looks of it, DAILY! I just asked why?
