1.
Ok, so the way I "heard" it was a few of our players know some Angleton players. They were leaning over talking to them telling them to win so that Dawson and Angleton could play against each other down the road.  They were there supporting Angleton.
This is correct. I agree.
My point is if you weren't there and didn't see it yourself, you can not say it is all fact.  Even if you were there and saw it all from a distance, you may have interpreted some things you saw, but don't know for sure.
I WAS THERE. MY WIFE WAS THERE. MY 18 YR OLD SON WHO IS A SENIOR @ ANGLETON HS WAS THERE. MY 19 YR OLD DAUGHTER WAS THERE. My son and Daughter are CLOSE FRIENDS of T.J. Austin (QB) My wife and I are friends of T.J.'s mother Sharon, who was sitting right behind us. And the "confrontation" between the young man from Dawson and the girl took place less than 20 feet in front of all of us (except for T.J., obviously as he was on the field) on the walkway at the bottom of the stands.
As far as your son's friend, it sounds like she started that argument.  Was it her place to tell them to  leave?
Nobody but the two students in question know for sure who said what to whom first. Honestly, I don't care who started the argument, and I Don't care WHAT the girl said or did to him. There is NEVER EVER ANY acceptable reason for ANY man, young or not to bow up to a little teen-aged girl (or a grown woman) and act like he is about to strike her, which is what I and a few hundred other people SAW HAPPEN.
Some of the Angleton people started booing and yelling at them.  As kids will do, they got upset.  Someone complained and an officer asked them to leave.  They were escorted out.
The reason that people started to boo and tell them to go home was because everyone within 100 feet in all directions saw what I just mentioned above happen, and they didn't like it one bit. The only part that I HEARD about was the part about one player (maybe the same kid? I Don't know) being walked out by an officer with his hands cuffed behind his back. (for his own protection, I guess?) The rest I SAW MYSELF, and I KNOW exactly what happened there. OK. Now that this has been (hopefully) cleared up, we can get back to discussing the game.

 3.
Nederland players do not care if the other team is talking trash. We will just strap up and smash you in the mouth.
Same Here. Our guys just laughed and told them that they hoped we would meet up in the playoffs, and then they'd see what's up. It's all in good fun for the most part.

Some (a lot) of the Dawson football players showed up in our stands as a group to watch our guys play @ our first round game against Friendswood wearing thier Lettermen jackets so as to be easily noticed as they strutted accross the front of the stands. Most of them were cool and talked a little trash to people they seemed to know as they smiled, but one or two of them ended up in handcuffs because of how they were acting, hanging over the rail down front and trying to taunt our players on the sideline during the game. Also my son almost got into it with one of the players that got up in a girls (sons friend) face for telling him to stop his trash talking and go home. I think he was the one that got cuffed a few min later. They (Dawson) are VERY cocky, and need to be knocked down a few pegs.
This would have been difficult as the Dawson players were in Galena Park playing against Foster.  Please do not spread gossip.  The Dawson team this year is much more disciplined then in the past.  You can try to make them out to be the bad guys all you want, but I think it is more wishful thinking then actual fact.  The team is much more disciplined and isn't giving up free yardage on penalties as in the past. If you get the yardage, you have to earn it this year.
My apologies, I was confused about which game. It was at our game vs the Terry Rangers at Traylor Stadium when this happened on a Thursday night, Nov. 8. But everything else in that statement is true and correct. NOT GOSSIP. Never said they were bad guys, just that one or two of them talked a little too much trash and were asked to leave. that's all.
This game is Saturday Dec 1 at 2:00pm at Gupton Stadium in Leander.  That is 10 miles from Georgetown.  Welcome to a HOME TOWN CROWD !  Georgetown has played in this stadium MANY times.  Enjoy the LOOOOONG ride and drive from Angleton.
Last season, when we were playing in the quarterfinal game against Pearland Dawson, we played on thier home field (literally). Angleton fans filled the entire visitors stands, extra stands they had put at one end zone AND about 2/3 of the HOME side. The Dawson fans barely filled up one section of thier side. Moral: Don't be surprised if all of Angleton shows up at gupton next w/e! Hope y'all have plenty of room!!

 7.
That "difference" had everything to do with it. The 5A game is different in the trenches. NO team in 4A 19-A or 20-A has guys this size on both sides of the ball. They will be robbed. Angleton wins because they are the only true 4A team in the game.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. You just contradicted yourself.
LOL!! Maybe he meant ANGLETON LOSES? Like I have said before, 5A don't scare us... doesn't matter how many A's they have!  ::)

 12. Don't worry SC fans that think Angleton will be robbed next w/e, Angleton regularly runs all over 5a football teams every year in pre-district play AND BEATS 99% of 'em. (EX:Took out a huge Brazoswood BUCS team this season 69-28) so 5A don't scare us. We were hoping to get a chance to whoop 'yall too, but.... Oh well, maybe next year! ;D P.S. We'll be sure to take care of that big, bad 5A GT team for you next w/e LOL!! [move]GO  CATS,  GO!!  GO  CATS,  GO!!  GO  CATS,  GO!!  GO  CATS,  GO!! [/move]
 13.
Wow, playing this one in GTowns back yard. Gupton is about 10-15 miles from Georgetown. Guessing Angleton lost a coin flip.
Yes, It sucks to be us.  ??? That is about a ~3.5 - 4 hr drive each way for Angleton to make. But I will be there, and I'm sure most Angleton fans will be also!!
 14.
The defense was exactly the same in the 2nd half as it was the 1st half.  The difference was the kids doing the job that was asked of them.
This is true. And our defense is much better than many believe if they just play to the best of thier abilities. For example, early in this season the Cats played what was likely thier toughest, most smashmouth game against an excellent Alief Taylor Lions (5A) Team (and the refs) in pre-district. Angleton had that game wrapped up 7-0, until the 00:19 sec mark when A.T. finally managed a TD and went for the 2pt conversion. An Angleton defender knocked the ball down in the end zone (never touching the reciever, mind you) for the 7-6  win...until the yellow flag flew out, and A.T. got ANOTHER try at the 2pt conversion which was successful. Therefore making the final score 8-7 with A.T. winning. If the Ang defense could have held for the final 2 min of that game, A.T. would have been shut out. Also as I said earlier, we had three defensive starters out against Tomball, but the starting lineup will be back in place next w/e tho so it should be all good.
 15.
Angleton run game has been potent lately, imma take the Cats by 3.
They are def rolling right now! If the offense keep the mistakes to a minimum and holds onto that ball like they did last night, and the D can pick a few, I think the Cats will advance. This ain't thier first rodeo. ;D Also, last night there were 3 defensive starters out all game that will (all) be back next week, so those "holes" that some were mentioning earlier that were there during last nights game should be plugged by then. Can't say by how much, but I think Cats win this one! 8)

 18.
A big pat on the back goes to Tomball. Angleton had several big advantages at their skill positions, but Tomball showed a lot of heart by hanging w/ Angleton in the first half. #23 on Angleton is a fantastic player. If a defense can contain him, Angleton is in big trouble. You said it right, Angleton's defense showed lots of holes. Next week will be the end of the road for Angleton.
They most likely won't contain him. He is too quick, and too fast. Our O line is awesome at making huge holes in the opposing D line, but If for some reason they manage to stop J. West (23), we have R. Cooper (15) who is equally as good if not better. Either of them can easily outrun/outmaneuver most defenders, and there are several others we can go to including a few excellent recievers. Also, there are a couple of things that you may consider such as; The last quarter and a half of last nights game the 'cats were playing 3rd team guys and STILL put up 723 total yds of offense. The score COULD have been 80-35, but 'cats elected to run out the clock with 1:20 left after interceting tomball's pass at there own 14, so it ended 73-35. (that was not the first int of the game for us either-just remember, the more you pass it, the more likely we're gonna pick it. If you try to run the ball, you won't get far.) As for the D line, they played all game last night with three starters out and it showed in the first half, but tomball still had <60 yds in the second half, and all of the defensive starters will be back in place next w/e, so don't count your chickens before they hatch! You guys need to worry about  getting past your opponent this w/e, and then we can look ahead to next w/e. ;)
 19. Shows Wildcats winning against Tomball today 52-17. looks pretty close to me!  ;D
 20. Any time Vidor broke one SC would chase them down.  Vidor couldn't seem to move the ball when the field shortened.  Most of their yards came in the middle of the field.  Although SC defense has done a solid job, they're sort of a "no name" defense. No one has shined to star level yet.
So if they struggled with the Slot T what are they going to do with a modified version of a Wing T with two 1,200 yard backs in the backfield with a passing game?  Will the SC D struggle there?
Sounds very familiar to me....Are you maybe referring to the team that I think you are.?.?. Would one of those backs have ~17, and the other ~14 TD's so far this season?  ::) LOL
 21. I'm pulling for big NED!!  And, I want 'yall to take out Dawson('s creek) too!
I keep saying this every week and people don't believe it. Nederland has the best defense in 4A in the state of Texas. NOBODY can match up physically with us on the front line. We consistently get into the backfield, and our linebackers, corners, and safeties feed off of that. Not that their not good enough already. Nobody in 4A has seen a defense like Nederland's. Not even Pearland Dawson.
While you are pondering that subject, just remember who won OUR last meeting a couple months back. ::)...Hopefully we may see a re-match in a few weeks (on a dry field) and see how much both teams have improved since then. One game at a time though. GO 'DOGS!!

Just like BH, Crosby, Dayton, Nederland, and Vidor.  Good, not great.
We must also consider that the last ~30 min of that Ned vs Ang game was literally played in a monsoon, and that at times it was raining so hard (not to mention the winds) that the fans could barely see the players on the field (that is, the fans that stayed there) I think that 39-31 was a relatively high final score considering the very adverse conditions being dealt with during that game by the players. Anyway, we'll take it one game at a time and Tomball will be our next opponent. Maybe we'll meet in two weeks, then we'll know who's best for sure.
 24.

Should be a pretty good game. The final score (48-0) in the LaMarque vs WC game doesn't tell the whole story. That game was 0-0 @ halftime, but after that, WC started making too many mistakes and that ended up costing 'em bigtime. Point being, I think that IF they can play the full 48 without making those mistakes again, WC may have a decent chance to win this one.
And you are basing this on the fact that they had LaMarque 0-0 at the half and if they could do this twice they could play with WO-S?  I hope if you are an adult man your job requires no decision making skills or brainwork.
IF I'm adult MAN? What's with the personal attacks? Does it make you feel better to try and put others down because mommy and daddy didn't give you enough attention when you were little? If so, knock yourself out! You won't hurt my feelings...  LOL! If YOU had the big brain that you seem to want everyone here to believe that you have, you could have easily looked at my signature and figured out that in fact, I am an adult man. Anyway, personally I could care less who wins when it comes to WO-S vs WC. I have no association with either. Good luck next weekend!
