1. Vidor thought the samething.  FYI..Angletons defense has only given up 11 pts a game over the last 6 games.
2. I just want to let the Vidor fans know that I was very impressed not only with your team, but also the fans.  You guys have made it clear that your past is your past and you have moved forward.  You are a very classy organization!
3.
Like ATWILDCAT said, Angleton also runs the wing t offense, and they do it well. As far as our defense is concerned, if Vidor tries to pass the ball, angleton will likely either turn it into negative yds by getting to thier QB and taking him down, (they have some 'speed' along with power on thier D too) or causing him to have to get rid of the ball sooner than he would like, which for the last twelve games has resulted in easy takeaways (and points on the board) for the cats. If your QB DOES decide to throw the ball, he'd better be able to do it very quickly. Even even if he gets the ball where he wants it, the odds are high that it's gonna get either knocked down or intercepted because our guys are normally really good at being wherever the ball is going before it ever gets there. Also contrary to what some believe, the cats play smashmouth ball. They can, and will hit you hard and often, which as we all know often results in a loss of (the opposing teams) ball control...It will be a darn good game for sure! Oh.. BTW, went to the field house to get my tickets today. :) Was talking with the woman in the booth and she said some of your (Vidor) guys recently came down, snuck in, 8) and put thier flag up the AHS flagpole! Thats a long @$$ drive just for that! Good One! It's all in good fun! ;D
That flag was lowered to half mast for practice!
4. You guys keep underestimating the Angleton defense and you're going to fall right into the same trap you say everyone falls into underestimating your offense.  I've seen the film of you guys from your last three games and I like Angleton's odds.  Good luck to Vidor and I hope everyone stays healthy.
5. Just note that your stellar defense and ram it down your throat offense has resulted in 2 losses.  Our offense and "last place" defense has resulted in 0 losses.  And we hung 50 on the #1 defense in our district.
6. Those stats are for the entire season.  If you're going to compare our district standings you can only look at district play and not non district games.  We've given up more yards on the entire season because we don't schedule weak teams for non district play.  We'd rather play Dayton than the likes of Wharton or Houston Jones.  So if you want to look at the stats that way so you sleep better at night then by all means.
7. I don't know where you get your stats but Angleton had the third best defense in the district and led the district with 35 forced turnovers on the season. Vidor better be ready to try and tackle a track team because that's what they're facing and I doubt they have 4.3-4.5 40 yard dash guys on that team.  Speed kills and Vidor is about to be flatlining!  And don't bring up Ozen,  they're only fast based on east Texas standards.
8. The winner's high for Vidor will wear off as the week goes on and realism will set in.  Angleton 52 Vidor 21
