This could be the best team in SETX this yearand if all goes well maybe the best team in SETX HISTORY
As a polish co-worker use to say in a very heavy polish accent of course  "WHY DO YOU DREAM WITH YOUR EYES WIDE OPEN"

So why do you keep bringing up the past like it matters at all? I mean seriously. Is that all yall got to hang on? The past. Well the past didn't mean much last year. But since your talking about last year let me ask you something. How far did you make it in the playoffs last year?
Pick me I know, Pick me I know...  ONE N DONE!!!!

 7.
Don't know about that.  Dayton began the year advancing farther in football and ended the year advancing farther in track.  Between those it was basketball.  That pretty much covers the major sports but I will give you baseball.
And softball.
 8.

From our district I would bump LCM down to a 2. No playoffs in the last 5 years. Also Tx City is probably a 3...What have they done the past 5 years? Not sure they have even made the playoffs. And Terry? I would swap Dawson and BHam. Dawson gets a knod for the D1 recruits, but No Title game yet. By that same assessment, BHam has the D1 recruits and a title game appearance.
My reasoning.... Every team you listed was borderline for me. Barber's Hill-  Borderline between 3 & 4 to me. I only gave them a 4 due to last years undefeated regular season and district title. Brenham- I was trying to avoid handing out a 6 to teams that have never won a state title.  The Cubs are easily a 6 when it comes to D1 recruits, but despite going 20-0 in the last two regular seasons, they were bounced really early in the playoffs both years.  That's what makes it hard to decide between a 5 & 6 for Brenham.  You could build a case either way.  In the end, I'll give Brenham the nod for a 6, based on their D1 recruits. Crosby- No problem moving the Coogs up after what liltex pointed out. Dawson- I'm cool with dropping the Eagles for a couple reasons, but the reason I had them so high is how good they got & so fast.  I havn't seen a team really rise that fast, aside from Sping DeKaney last year.  They also have loads of D1 recruits.  Here's what they have against them though... No state title and still a very new school, so they're not as established as others. (though they are on the rise quickly) Winning the region this next year or two would put them back at a 6 for me though. Dayton- I feel the Broncos are pretty even with th the Cubs, so since I moved the Cubs up I guess I'll have to move them up.  Brenham's key to a 6 was the D1 talent, so I guess I'll use Dayton's consistancy as theirs.  (Meaning no upsets in early rounds) Up to a 6. LCM- I can't really argue with you there.  After pointing out the playoff drought, they are for sure a 2. Terry- This team is very underrated year after year.  They also play in a very tough district. Texas City- They have a state title or two and has a lot of talent every year.  They have been falling off as of late, but they are a good team.  I'll drop them, but I'd say atleast a 4.
BH is a 3 if we use your reasoning because Crosby beat BH the last game of regular season.
 9.

I can say Nederland has not had a very good track record with either  Dayton or Crosby. I do know the twin are good athletes but are they as good as Jakobi Jones and Tre Green who had a abig offensive line in front of them last year. From what I have seen  and heard Crosby o line is a little  smaller then normal which may be a problem, but good technique goes along way. As for the Dayton game it will be a tough fight with the lines going at it. A good learning game for both teams.
I don't know if I would call the line smaller. The right tackle is 6' 4" & the left tackle is 6' 2" now the weight on these 2 tackles is 200lb. but they do alot of pulling & reach blocking.
they do alot of pulling & reach blocking. aka  "Holding".
 10. From everything I've read about Ned and dayton sound like they match up pretty close.  If that is the case than Ned will not have a problem with Crosby this early in the season.  Let's not forget that Crosby lost most if not all of last year O-line.  Don't care how quick you are if you are running for your life because your O-line is young than you will not be very effective.  After saying that  Ned 31  Crosby 13.  This is subject to change after we scrimmage Ned.  Can't wait to match up our 260+ avg O-line against Ned's 270+ D-line.  Can anyone say SMASH MOUTH FOOTBALL.  ;) :D ;D
 11. Who would PNG "any PNG fan" pick if they could choice between LCM Trent M. or Dayton Juan C?
 12. Fun time.  Let's compare records for setx teams. Last 5 year record: 53-17 Last 10 year record: 96-32 This is Dayton's record.

Which caused a major malfuction in the sewer system... so in order to replace the system the turf had to be taken up. So new system for easier drainage when SC comes to town and receives their lose to the BRONCOS  ;D
I heard they were replacing it because the school district thought it looked too much like grass and they were watering it everyday. Only in Dayton would they try to water turf to try and make it grow. ;D
I heard that since the school starting locking up the laptops that the athletes had nothing else to destroy,so pieces of turf have been missing all summer ;)
Seriously? Let it go already... That was a long time ago....  ::)
Nah it's still fun to poke at ;)
Really?  It's still fun to poke fun of 16 yr olds that made a big mistake and payed for it by not playing not just a couple games but the whole season.  All four them were starters and I would bet that if we had them playing in state game it would have been a different story.  Coach Steward choose the high road even though he knew what kind of team (defense mainly in this case) he had.  I just don't see how barbers hill folks put up with low l f s like you that want to slam 16 yr olds the way you do.  Of couse you are probably lower enough that most B H people don't even notice you.
 15. And what does any of this have to do with Dayton staduim?

 17.
Nederland not only has the best coach in SETX with Larry Neuman but, they have some of the best assistant coaches in SETX. A "hero" head coach does not obtain his stature alone, it takes all of his coaching staff to guide, teach and direct his team. Sure he is the Head Man who everyone points their finger at when things go bad or sings his praises when things are good. The head coach is the one with the win/loss record that follows him  but to achieve this record it takes the hard work and dedication of his assistants and the desire of the team to win.
A good HC will surround themsleves with the best or if their young, mold them into the best assistants.  That's what makes them or breaks them.
