Now they want Creuders head.
Seriously? You comparing us to lumberton? Wow. That's kinda sad.
Until proven differently!  It is a sad day for Vidor.  Reality bits hard.

I know it was.36-0 at halftime when I left. I know bh jv won 8-0. Also dayton doesnt hide talent on jv. If your a sophmore and can get after it they put you on varsity. Daytons jv always has several losses. A majority of those freshman that killed everyone last year will not see jv ball.
Our Freshman team is a bit watered down as we have 2 teams to your 1 team, so i wouldn't place to much stock on that lop sided win. You can't place any stock in any of the wins as BH proved this year. BH doesn't hide talent either if you can play Varisty you will be there.
So why do we always play 2 games (A & B) when we play you.  If we only have one team than Dayton is the one watered down dividing up in two teams.

That is silly. I remember when I was in high school (05-09) and when we had home games against Vidor, the visitor side of the stadium was only about 1/4-1/2 full, and that is being generous. Vidor has a great fan base, and I believe it will continue to grow from their recent success. They just aren't on PNG or Nederland's level yet. At home or away games, more significantly away games.
Man you must have been blind cuz i was in school about the same time (03 to 07) and we completely destroyed yall's numbers fans wise. What game were you at? JV?
Everything always looks bigger when you were younger.  Just saying.  ::)
 5. They are redoing the turf.  I believe with a better kind of turf, not sure what kind or brand.  But the installers guantee that it will slow down all those D1 studs that everybody but us have.  ;) ::) ;D
Stewart has 138 wins in 15 years avg of 9.2 wins per year.  Neumann 146 wins in 19 years avg 7.6 wins per year.  Stewart 1 state finalist, 1 semifinals, 5 third 3rd rounds and a long list of bi-district wins.  He diid beat us pretty good in the 1st round of I think 04'.

Itsfunny when I hear even dayton fans say how we dont have talent. Dayton has had alot of talent over the last 5 years for crying out loud we had a parade all american and a d1 qb on the same team. Also had a kid at running back same year who had the fastest 400 meter hurdle time in the nation.
If you're referring to my posts, perhaps your reading comprehension is a little weak.  Dayton has had plenty of talent relative to MOST schools.  My argument was vs. Brenham.  Take a look at the number of players that get college football scholarships in Dayton vs Brenham and get back to me.  I was giving coach Stewart the credit that I think he deserves.
i guess your football comprehension isnt that great. First off you use the example of daytons 3 best players going to inferior schools to texas. I told you that along with those kids dayton has a kid at ou now. The kid that went to u of houston was a parade all american and could have went to any school in the country. My argument was and still is that while brenham has had a slight edge in talent its not as much as you make it out to be. Since your a texas fan I will give you a quote from an old texas head coach "you dont want my plays you want my players".
So because you struggle with basic math you think I struggle with football comprehension?  Ok cool.  Dayton puts out about 1-2 D1 players a year.  In 2009 Brenham had about 10 players on that roster that went on to get D1 scholarships over the next couple of seasons.  Call that a slight advantage if you choose.  My whole point of this conversation has been to give Jerry Stewart the credit he deserves for competing at an elite level.  I hate to talk about former players in a negative light, but there's a reason the player at OU is still a walk on.  Go back and see who offered. With regard to the kid that went to UofH, name me an elite level school that offered.  The numbers are astoundingly in favor of Brenham with regards to talent.  If you choose to ignore the facts that's up to you.  Dayton has exceeded expectations relative to the talent they had.
This student wanted to go to the Naval Academy, his parents did not want him to.  So he waited to long to decide and had to walk on in mid july and was given a scholarship by the end of August.  with in 3-4 games he started on the kickoff return on the third row and went in as a lead blocking fullback in short yardage plays including on the goal line.

Also last year it was bh big plays that beat dayton. Tyler newcomb was unstopable that game.
And us trying for a 54 yrd fieldgoal instead of pinning BH deep in their territory with less than 2 minutes to play.
 14. We are several years away, but Hardin will STINK it up until 2018-2025. If anyone has been watching Hardin Hornet Pee Wee/Junior football, they are very excited to see the talent coming up. These kids are incredible, and have great things to look forward to. So, until then. We hope the best, but expect average, to sub-par. But as for the Hardin - HD game, I will go with the Hornets in an upset. Yes, upset. lol

As time permittted, i attended local highschool games(to pass time over the years) and I have to say i have yet to see such a fan base as we have in SETX. I applaud you the fans for all of your support. The country is well aware of our teams such as Dayton,Nederland,PN-G,WOS,Brenham, etc...and even the schools that haven't been as successful. They know of us because of our fan base. Once again, I applaud everyone that supports SETX High School Football. Is it Friday Night yet? Are You Ready?
;D ;D ;D

The 90 corridor and I-10 will be exploding in the very near future. Almost every house under construction in Mont Belvieu is already sold and there are tons of small kids moving in. Look for an increase in the next realignment.
So, over there in "The Area With Four Names" small, move-in kids are measured in tons?  At what age are these tons of kids recognized as potential Eagle talents? ;) ;D
Hey, I'm just saying. The neighborhood we moved into is new construction and between the last two new streets there are 32 new kids to the school district. Most of them are elementary age kids, but that's not including  the other new subdivisions that are being built as we speak. There are major expansion plans for the area within a year and I forsee the population growing drastically. Did I mention the plant expansions? There are 3 new schools already planned to be built starting I think this next school year. The next 4-5 years you will see this small community almost double in size.
That only means you have 4-5 years to win a playoff game.  Because after that your playoff appearance will go BYE BYE! :o :'(
 17. We also have a ton of talent that went to the big DII schools as well.  Just because you don't go to DI does not mean your not talented.  I can see at least 6-7 kids this year playing at the next level.
 18.
You know tradition is a two edged sword. If you have been good and remain that way then the cutting goes to your opponents, but if your team has a few down seasons then watch out for the backlash! How many times have winning coaches had to pack and leave because they stayed a couple of seasons too long. How many times has a coach come in and followed a winning coach who moved on when that coach moved on knowing the talent was drying up had to endure the slings and arrows of losing. Lets be honest, we treat HS coaches just like we do college and professional coaches and I for one believe it is unfair. Any coach other than HS can recruit or draft players to fill needs. I know we have coaches and parents who shop their kids to other schools for athletic purposes, but that happens a lot less than we might think. HS coaches are there week in and week out. They work with the young men and women that come out for their sport from their school. They put a team together and they play. When they win we think they are great and when they don't we think they are bums! Well the life lessons of HS sports are what are most important to me. I know that winning is fun and we have had lots to cheer about here in Evadale for the past five or six years in all sports. But if this year we don't win games it is not because the coaches quit coaching or the players quit playing. In life sometimes you just don't win. But for 98% of the student athletes who will never play at the next level it has to be about learning that hard work is good. Team work is good. Discipline is good and that games are just a tool to learn about life and how to live it. What have you done lately for your coach or athlete to show them that their worth is not about wins, but is about being people of good character!
The one thing you can do the most is to come to all games win or lose.  That is something 20 4A does very well and some of the old 19 4A Dayton, Bh, Crosby and GCM.  Not sure if I qualify to give a +1 but I would if could.
 19. Former HD Coach Jerry Stewart of Dayton.  Still a coach by HEART.  Has a winning record against every 4A school in SETX.

So if dayton sux whats that mean for bh.
Just did a little research  :) I show that Dayton is 18-11-1 all time against BH. Also BH has a 506-286-29 lifetime record for 65% win percentage while Dayton has a 259-216-20 lifetime avearage for a 56% win percentage. What does all of this mean..............Nothing, but it's better than being bored ;)
Since we started playing football in 1921 this would give a average of 5.5 games per year.  So I do believe this could be way off but par for the author.  1931 we beat Humble in the what I think they called regionals and that was as far as small schools could go.
 21.
Brenham had 4 total returning lettermen in 2008 and lost in the 4th round of the playoffs. They have had complete domination over their district for the last 10 years, you have to be a fool to think they won't be good. They have the most D1 player at the University of Texas than any other 4A school. And have 5 D1 athletes on the team this year in Justin Davis, Kwadarius Chapel, Jacob Sparks, Austin Schlottman, ands Darrion Johnson. They will make it to the third round, I promise.
You say they have 5 D1 players and only make to 3rd round now that would be a shame. ???  Guess ya'll will have to pray that Kingwood Park or Ozen don't make to the playoffs this year.  That should give you an easier time. ;D ;D ;D

You know you all lost too much.
A 20 game regular season winning streak. That has to count for something....  We also return 2 D1 players, maybe more. (DB/WR Justin Davis, who has an offer from Arizona State, with a few others looking at him, & Darrion Johnson who is the #3 recruit in the state for class of 2014) We'll be just fine.  Not top 10 material, cuz we lost so much, but I believe we are definatly in the top 20.
