If Bridge City couldn't pry him from us, I'm not sure anyone can unless they came up with 5A class money from a much larger district. Even then, I think he really loves our community and likes the notoriety he has. Something happens to Jeff and I believe some school board members here would lose their jobs quick, fast and in a hurry.... [/quote] If he was about more money, I don't think he would be in Vidor now. I have met him a couple of times and he seems to be more into family and establishing his place within a community. I think that is why he is loved so much in Vidor. Not for his football record but for who he is and how he influences the kids around him in a positive way.
