1. Gonna be packed on the visitor's side with all my Deweyville-ians!  ;) Can't wait for a GREAT game!
 2. If Deweyville wins the next two, district looks like this: 1. Deweyville/New Waverly 2. New Waverly/Deweyville 3. Corrigan-Camden (1&2 would be decided by a point system) If Deweyville wins New Waverly, and loses to Groveton district looks like this: 1. New Waverly 2. Corrigan-Camden 3. Groveton If Deweyville loses New Waverly and wins Groveton, district looks like this: 1. New Waverly 2. Corrigan-Camden 3. Deweyville This should save a lot of confusion. If I'm right lol
 3.
There's gonna be some sad Bulldog fans about 10pm tonight. Pirates and that big offensive line are gonna crush New Waverly. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a dog in the fight and not a fan of either team, I just feel that Deweyville is far superior as long as they play to their potential. Could be over by halftime in my opinion.
Hope to see Hull-Daisetta in the playoffs too!
 4.
What happens if they win by 874 points? :o
If that happens we should get a bye week every week until state championship.  ;D 8)
 5. texashsfootball.com has some complete histories of teams, but most of them are incomplete. However, you have to be a member to view them. I've tried to join that board and someone has to approve your membership so I've been waiting for a while. But I believe if you join that board, then you can view all of the team histories.
 6. Even if we lose to New Waverly tonight, if we beat Groveton then we will go into playoffs as the 3rd team. But if we beat New Waverly by a certain amount of points, and Groveton, then we can still be district champions.
 7. Congrats Hemphill. Woodville lost to Elkhart in a tough battle, but I'm sure Kirbyville and Hemphill will make 20-2A look good!

I've watched film on them against Anderson-Shiro. When you're halftime score with Anderson is 15-14, that doesn't impress a lot of people. We had Anderson beat 38-0 at the end of the first quarter.
NW took them for granted.  When it came time to play in the 2nd half, they dropped about 5 TD's on them.  I don't think that game is a very good comparison.  The Corrigan game really isn't either since NW played them when Corrigan was short handed.  Hard to say what might happen this week.  New Waverly still has to be the favorite until Deweyville beats them.  I think I just might go to the game unless it's freezing.  Should be a good one.
I can pretty much guarantee it's goin to be freezing lol

 11.
Deweyville was beaten 57-6 by New Waverly last year.  This year New Waverly is 7-1 so far.  What has changed to think that Deweyville can win this by double digits?  Just curious.
Deweyville lost to Corrigan last year 49-0. This year we lost by 3 points. This will be a close game.
 12. Well, in order for us to still be district champs, we have to beat New Waverly by 12. I think this game should be taken more serious than Corrigan, I won't predict a score, but just remember the Pirates are gonna come with their A game. Hopefully none of the unsportsmanlike conduct and all of that that happened last year will go on this year. I hope they got new refs too..
 13.
Glad Babin let the jv get some playing time in the 3rd and 4th. Get em some experience! ;D
That's the only reason Hemphill got 26 points on us lol Coach told us Hemphill only got 40 yards of offense on our first team defense.
 14. I never said we would lose if Twine played. I was just saying we would win by a smaller margin if he did.
 15.
Hemphill 48 Deweyville 20 Deweyville's wheels fall off in the second quarter.
The only way that score would ever happen, is if Hemphill got a good defense. And I don't see that happening in a week.
 16.

the superstars are playing and they are all on deweyville
Let's not get crazy and pretend Deweyville even has one "superstar."  That being said, I'll take DV because they are the better team.
You're right. We don't have one superstar. Because we split our run game with 6 different backs, and what passing yards we have we split with atleast 4 receivers. Everyone contributes, we don't depend on one person. Unlike Hemphill.
 17. We were only 1 person short last realignment. I almost wanna guarantee that we'll drop but that'll jinx it lol
 18. With the groups of kids that are coming up, if we stay in D2 then we will be tough. But if we drop down then I think we'll be as dominant as San Augustine.
 19. We can only pray that Deweyville drops to 1A.  8)
 20. Well these teams are for sure ready for it. I wish the best of luck to Kirbyville, Hemphill, and Woodville. Hopefully we come out next year with the same intensity as this year and we make the playoffs for the first time in volleyball in 10 years.
 21. How's the district standings lookin? I know that playoffs look a lil bit like this: 1. Kirbyville 2. Hemphill 3. Woodville or Deweyville In order for Deweyville to make the playoffs, Woodville would have to lose tonight against Kirbyville, Deweyville would have to win against Warren, and then Deweyville would have to win against Woodville again Thursday in a tie-breaker. In order for Woodville to make the playoffs, all they have to do is beat Kirbyville. For anyone that's wondering, Kirbyville and Woodville's last meeting ended up in a Kirbyville victory in 3 games. Anything can happen at the number 3 spot. Can't wait to see how it turns out.
 22. That's true. Deweyville won. How's playoffs lookin for this district?

Corbett Smith ‏@corbettsmithDMN 6A is here. UIL creates a sixth division, splitting Class 1A Division I and II. This goes in effect for 2014 alignment Retweeted by Texas HS Football
That is not all they approved. First, about the 6A. All it really does is change the name of each classification except for 1A DII. Starting in 2014, what we now know as 5A will be called 6A, 4A will be 5A, 3A will be 4A, 2A will be 3A, 1A DI will be 2A and 1A DII will be just 1A. Second, UIL did pass to add a 4th team to playoffs in all team sports in 3A and 2A starting next season. Also, UIL passed referendum for 3A supts. to vote on making the current 3A football districts to DI and DII districts like 2A and 1A. If passed by supts, this will start next season as well. UIL has voted to eliminate 1 tourney from basketball, baseball and softball. Starting next season a team can only play 2 tourneys and not 3.
You mean we finally get a 6A classification and it won't fix the discrepancy in enrollment numbers and talent pools we've been dealing with in the 4A and 5A playoffs? Please tell me this is a back-door way of making a real 6A classification over time.
That's what making DI and DII took care of. In order to do what you are asking, you would make 6A a mega classification with very few schools. Travel for district games would be terrible and completely ridiculous in some cases.
Uh, huh.  Ask schools like Deweyville, Anderson-Shiro, Tenaha and Sabine Pass how this DI/DII split is working out for them. LOL!
It's horrible. Our closest district game is Hemphill, 2 hours away.
