1. I probably woulda lost faith when it was 21-0.
 2. Is San Augustine supposed to get a new stadium? I thought I remembered hearing something about it.

I see perhaps five or more making an impact with the varsity including the next Quirante, Mason Mathews, the running back #20 whose name I can't remember now and moving up a couple of the O-line for playing experience. We talk so much about skill positions on this board but IMHO, our bread and butter is the O-line which we do as well as anyone in district. Any team who can take on a bunch of 250 lbs+ kids with a bunch of 200 lbs-ers does offensive line well. Word is that Hartman is coming back and boy would he be a big help. Firmly believe that he would have been all-district this year had he been able to play. You know, it's up to Jeff and his coaching staff and how hard these kids work this summer. You could even have the 2010 scenario where we go 2 - 8 and the next year three rounds deep. I believe this bunch of upcoming sophomores are capable of that. Junior High teams look great with one kid coming who could make us forget Montana (if you believe that). Personally, I think the future looks bright for Pirate football if we keep our current coaching staff. Guys like dustoff are doing a great job with the kids at the youth level. Really exciting to be talking about football after all these years....
I think i may know who your talking about.  8)
My sister told me it was some kid named Haylon? She said he started on the 8th grade team as a 7th grader.

 7.

Deweyville loses 11 seniors. We return our tackle's on the line, quarterback, fullback, runningback, and utility player. On Defense, we return some D-linemen, and both safeties. I think that's all. So far we have put an O-line together that looks to be as big as last year, but not sure about as physical. District will be tougher next year with a good Groveton JV moving up to varsity, and Corrigan will be tougher. Not too sure about New Waverly. Anderson and Hemphill will be the same IMO. I think it's a possibility to go undefeated. 7-3 at worst losing to SA, CC, and Groveton. What do yall think about next year's Deweyville Pirates?
10-0 is a real possibility. SA will be a win as they are losing 18 seniors. Groveton should be a win. CC may be the toughest game depending on how they regroup. Thier sub varsity teams all appear to have talent.
Groveton beat our JV 33-8, or somethin like that, so they have a good group of kids comin up considerin our JV went undefeated until then. Corrigan, from what I've been told, has a really good soph and frosh class. This year our JV beat SA by a TD. Guess we'll have to wait.
 8.
HD vs. Deweyville will be a great game next season. A full year of Coach Finney's offseason program and a year of learning Huckabay's offense will make HD very tough. That is taking into account that HD loses only 4 starters to graduation and will return the district MVP, district Defensive MVP, their starting and backup QB, top 3 WR's, top 6 rushers, 3 starting offensive linemen and 10 of 11 defensive starters.
I agree. Should be an exciting game, not like in the past where Deweyville got blown out, and not like recently where it was the opposite, but much more even. There has already been improvement in the weight room with Coach Babin's offseason program as well. A lot of our kids are reppin out their max. And yes, when run right, the slot-t can be nasty.
 9. He's staying. And I don't think he plans on leaving for a while.

 11. What day does two-a-days start? I'll see if I can make one.
 12. Wasn't there a countdown clock last year??  ???
 13. Deweyville has alot of shoes to fill in. Losing 11 seniors, but it looks like our o-line will be as big, I don't know about as physical. Returning starters on offense are our quarterback, runningback, a couple of linemen, a TE. Not sure about defense. But look for Deweyville contend for the district title. And win a playoff game.

 20.
Probably fixing to make myself look stupid, but who is Justin Twine.  I have never seen an NFL team win a super bowl with just 1 or 2 talented players, nor have I saw a college football team win with just 1 or 2, nor have I seen a high school football team win a state champioship with just one or two.
The kid is a beast. Racked up 3200 yards last year in 10 games. 2400 rushing and 800 passing. Didn't make the playoffs because of defensive issues in my opinion. He couldn't play this year because of an injury.
 21.
3 plays and Newton scores on a 59 yard TD. Newton 8 to Lions 0
Well that was quick.
