Deweyville JV B team lost, they played Newton's freshman. Deweyville JV A team won. I left before the varsity game started.

I think Deweyville has come a long way discipline-wise, people just aren't paying attention. We are definitely more disciplined this year because we want to win without being dirty. Most people don't want to let go of what Deweyville has been and what our reputation was, but I promise it's gonna change this year.

From what I remember, Coach Babin has said no stripes, and I haven't seen them on the helmets the past two games. Since last year the varsity teams have also had the riddell revolution speed helmets. I will take a picture of them as soon as I can, or I'm sure you can find pictures of them on google. The JV teams use the old helmets.

San Augustine had their bye week this week.

I'm sure you were at the Evadale game yesterday as was I. We can both say the secondary and special teams need work. And I agree that San Augustine will be the toughest team. With Corrigan-Camden being a close second.

Last year Deweyville held a strong San Augustine offense to it's lowest scoring game all season. One offensive touchdown and a defensive touchdown. San Augustine's predicted dominance in 1A is somethin to worry about, as well as the success they had in 7 on 7. But with a new HC and attitude, Deweyville might turn some heads. Predictions anyone?

Very young. There's only one senior on the team. If anyone would like to look at stats for games/players, Coach Siegert keeps MaxPreps updated frequently.

Deweyville wins in 5 games.

He has stayed after school with the guys that will practice and play 7 on 7. He's a great coach and easy to get along with. Can't wait to play for him.

I hope this guy is exactly what we need.
