A Yoe player had told one of our players this.

I did see them when they played Cameron.  With regards to that game, it was total domination as Cameron won, 47-7.  That unfortunate thing for Academy was they got Cameron at the end of district and not at the beginning...just a totally different Yoe team at this point IMO.  

 

Academy has some play-makers, but for the most part a solid defense should hold them down.  They have one solid WR and he played a big role in the upset over Rockdale.  

 

I know very little about EC...last time I saw them was in 2010 when they played Cameron.  How comparable are they to that team?  

I would say this EC team has a little more balance on offense. Maybe not quite as much experience, but a few more play makers. I would hope our defense is a little better than the 2010 team especially since Yoe went up big pretty quick and EC had to battle back late. I did hear a comment from one of our players after that 2010 game, which happens to have been played in Conroe also, that EC was their toughest opponent up until that point.

Go EC, we all know that Little River is just a bunch of lonesome losers :)

I don't see EC playing Teague, but I do see them playing Yoe. I think Yoe will beat Teague and I hope we beat LRA. I hear Yoe has a very good defense and a lot of speed. I don't think Teague has played against a real good defense yet. I would really rather not play the defending state champ though.

Westwood has been beaten by the the #3 team and the #8 team in the state according to the latest AP pole, Teague and Malakoff respectively. They have put up points on both of them and so did Kountze last night. I think EC wins, I hope by alot. #3 should have a big game along with #2. But defense wins championships. I know we aren't there yet, but lets go D!

If I remember, when EC played Malakoff they would spread you out and set up the run with the pass.

How is Darius doing? I never heard how bad his injury was.

EC will bring the bend but don't break D and a balanced offense to bring home the win! Don't need 10 points. I think we will be as ready and prepared as a 9-0 soon to be district champ can be. I don't want to sound cocky but this team has done what not too many good teams from EC has done. An undeafeated season going into the season finale. For some reason I think EC will have more passion and desire to win. This team although still somewhat young,has a lot of balance and character. Everyone do their job and remember y'all have the best fans any team can have! Good luck Bucs!

I would not won't to be the DC at EC . Sounds like a two headed monster , being able to run and pass well. That kinda offense sure keeps a guy honest. EC is at home but Buna has ball control . Buna by 13......Buna's base formation has a ring to it, DOUBLE TIGHT NASTY SLOT. you gotta love that !

If EC can find the ball, they win. If not, the defense will be running around all night. OF does a good job of disguising who has the ball in the wing T. EC 21 OF 19

What a great season BUCS, Coach Hancock and supporting cast. In these times, many coaches have to deal with alot of attitudes on teams. At East Chambers, the coaches do a great job controling the kids and bonding with them which IMO helps tremendously. It also helps when there are good kids in the community, which there are. It's great to be apart of such a great tradition at East Chambers. Congrats Everyone!
