  1. LC Washington Marion has a very good freshmen PG.  6'4 and very talented.  They will give someone a good game.
  2. PA Memorial girls are playing really good ball .  It will be hard for anyone to defeat them.
  3. Good Job od LU trying to get that PA Pipeline going.  I really hope Ricky takes a look at LU.  He and a few others on that roster go to Lamar.  It would really do this community some good.
  4. Remember people its about his education.  Something bigger does not mean something good. Im glad lamar is recruting this area. I wish more players from memorial take a look at Lamar.  If Lamar had players from the area, the stadium would be packed every Saturday. It all boils down to his EDUCATION. EDUCATION, EDUCATION.
  5. Very good scrimmage by both teams.  Look for alot from both teams.
  6. Its for sale. lol  English was definately sitting ringside with his note pad. lol
  7. PA Memorial did pretty good.  Lost to Silsbee and beat Ozen. Played with a lot of heart in the 2nd game against Ozen.  1st game was rough against Silsbee.  Also played without Dorian Chatman in both games, so the team showed it can play some good basketball when they put their minds to it. Oh and the Coach had a good game plan. lol  Ask Blue Dove. lol
  8. PA Memorial has had a few D1 Mid to High Major come to there open gym recently.  Lamar, McNeese, Texas A & M, SFA. Thats just this week.  Actually inquired about a few of the players, not just our big sophmore.
  9. Its a lost art in the game.  Some kids need to play there.  First you have to dominate inside before you can go outside.
  10. There was some good competition there.  Teams got an early look on some of their players. PA Memorial was 1 - 2.  Beat Hightower and lost to Elsik and Eisenhower.  PA Memorial will be okay.  They are young and learning everyday.
  11. Should Beaumint give PA Memorial the Beaumont Bowl Trophy?  2 years in a row Memorial has beaten every school in Beaumont associated with the Beaumont Bowl.
  12. The PA Lil Titans will start there 1st season in the Texas Youth Football Association this Staurday at home against the Tomball Titans.  ganme times will be 11am - Flag , 12pm - Midgets, 2pm - Rookies, 4pm - Juniors.  The games will be played at the PA Auxillary Field.  Come out and support the future Titans.
  13. Seen that too.  A athletes quicKest downfall.  "WOMEN"
  14. Yes J'Covin brought him down there in the post a few times.  But he also taught him how to defend in the post too.  He was talking to him too.  Jekore is a high riser Dove.  if these kids thought they had hops, then he showed them that they needed work.  J'Covin threw 2 or 3 alley hoops from half court to him.  After they played then they took them over for dribbling drills.  We are trying to move the workouts to the Rec Center for a few weeks, because they are getting the gym floors together.  You're boys really enjoyed Port Arthur.  My son has a good time with them.  Thats whats it is all about, these young boys establishing relationships/friendships that will last a life time.  And having one common goal, GETTING AN EDUCATION BY USING BASKETBALL, NOT LETTING BASKETBALL USE THEM.
  15. The competition has been real good.  Its showing the boys what it takes to get to the next level by playing against guys in college.  I like the fact that after they play games, then the college and pro guys make them workout with them on something they seen while playing with them to work on.  J'Covin has them working on ball handling.  Dominique keller has the bigs work on face up moves.  Jekore Tyler has them working on something and BJ Tyler has them doing something.  So when do we need to get those transfer papers together.
  16. Thats true.  The Lil Titans will play 4 home games and 4 games in Houston.  Then the playoffs are like high school playoffs.  They meet at a neutral site to play against the other regions.  The league has a no weight limit for the ball carriers, so it will be exciting to see some of our big noys run with the ball, instead of being put on the line.
  17. Port Arthur Lil Titans will be playing in the texas Youth Football Association.  They will be in the Houston Division.  They have Houston division, San Antonio Division, Dallas Division and West Texas Division.  The Championships will be at the University of Texas.  Very good league and managed well.
  18. Dove your boys have been working out in PA.  Thats a good thing.  We got the transfer papers ready for them.  I think I seen one of them getting his uniform number. lol They are getting some serious work though working out with the boys.  NBA, college and High School and even Junior High and Elementary working together to get better.
  19. Congrats to PA Memorials Matthew Romar and Jalen Barnes.  By the end of the year they will have at least 2 more on that list.  Darius Lamora and Devin Cockrell and possibly a fifth in James Jenkins.
  20. Congrats to Coach Kevin Henry of PA Memorial.  He is a great asset to our kids and our community.  Again congratulations and continue woring hard for our young ladies here in PA.
  21. I personally would love to put on a showcase for seniors in Southeast Texas.  If I could get the backing and a gyym.  I would self promote it, send out college invites to D2,JUCo, NAIA schools and if the head coaches from the area would send their players I would.  Im talking about in the next couple of weeks.  Whose in it to help get this dream as a reality.  Let me know.
  22. Im just calling it like I see it Dickey V.  Im tired of parents saying that the coach didnt get my son a scholarship or since I played at the 3a or 2a level I didnt get a good scholarship.  If you have said this before Dickey V, then it must be the truth. I have a son thats a 10th grader.  He is a decent ball player, but I dont see him as a D1 player at this point.  Thats why Im scheduling visits and camps at Hutson Tillotson in Austin, Wiley College, UT-Tyler schools along that magnitude because my son knows that its about his EDUCATION. Parents need to be real with their kids.  There are only a few players that get to D1 and some dont graduate, but all these other colleges need players to.  So im getting there attention, not waiting on our head coach or his AAU coach.
  23. Memorial will have a bunch of guys next year for the Class of 2013.  Matthew Romar 6'3 245 DE, Walter Oliver 6'3 280 DT, Jalen Barnes 6'1 180 DB, James Jenkins 5'10 170 CB, John Leday 6'1 180 WR, Brandon Leday 6'1 185 WR, Darius Lemora 6'1 190 DB.  All these guys made All District last year.  Some are getting serious looks already. And remember this name Devin Cockrell 6'1 175 DB.  He was the starting CB before he tore his ACL in the 2nd game of the year.  He was the starter before James Jenkins.  And Jenkins was 1st All District.  Memorial will have a very good Defense as youcan see.
  24. Parents need to know that they can get there son in a school, by sending him or her to the college elite camp that they offer.  They can video their kids games and make their own highlight tape. Parents can contact coaches, bring their kids to visit the campuses to meet coaches and get a feel of the college life.  Dont wait on the Head Coach of your school, your AAU coach or anyone to help get your kid in school.  Ive preached this time and time again to my players that it doesnt matter what school you attend, as long as you attend school.  Its all about getting a free education.  Kids and Parents need to remember that, its all about EDUCATION.  The NBA isnt guaranteed, but an EDUCATION is. So whether he plays D1, D2, NAIA, JUCO, D3.  It all boils down to getting an EDUCATION.
  25. Look at Home first cbosha.  Players are nominated for All Region by their Head Coach.  Look at your coach first.  The Head Coach picks the players to be named to All Region, All State. and then the Region votes on the players that the coach nominates.
