And this makes you informed?  Please.  What coach in his right mind is going to tell you that the district sucks and the only reason his team will do great is because of that.  Well there is one, and he is more honest than most on here can handle, and he is now retired.  If you don't believe me, just ask him about the district.  You will get an honest answer.  I did, and I got the only answer I need.

Get ready for more kool-aid from the Bronco fans.  This Elkins team was not very good.  Very poorly coached and as a team had very poor conditioning.  The Broncos won which is the bottom line but let's don't call this group any where near teams of the past.  The defense will have to hold this team together because the offense is a walking time bomb, and it will explode (I do not mean this in a good way).  If they make it through the year with the same offensive players even on the team they will be lucky!!

The Broncos should go 10-0 looking at the schedule.  Our district is crappy, from top to bottom. Trust me, I hope I am wrong about everything I said except for the 10-0, but will not be surprised if this team implodes.  Leadership problems.

I remember the year that Crosby beat Dayton and listening to all of their fans blow hot air.  I don't hear much of that anymore from Crosby fans.  You had your year, be happy.  Don't add anymore heartache to the lives of your players than what they already have coming to them.

Before everyone gets excited about beating a FW team in a scrimmage, this was not the Friendswood of old.  They were small, and slow.  No lineman over 6'1 on the oline and they used to be giants there.  Dayton's offensive line was much bigger than FW but did not dominate like they should have in running the ball.  Dayton will be fine in the district that we play in.  A much better test for the offense will be Nederland next week. 

Dayton is not very good at this point.

May be getting some help from a former Bronco OC if the rumors are true.

Just heard that Coach Nations will join th Eagles staff as the new OC in Barbers Hill.  He has been the associate principal at the high school this past year.  Hate to see him go there of all places.  He knows our defense better than anyone.

Team.  The coaching leadership will be there.  How the players react to that leadership will determine their success.

Could be loaded but leadership will be a huge question.

Would have been about a 50 yard FG attempt. They should have gone ahead and kicked if they were going to run that play.  Miss the days, last 10 years, of having a good short yardage package. Stewart had a lot of confidence in Nations in those situations.

That was hard to watch.

Stewart is not the only coach they are missing.  Like it or not Nations was going to run the ball first and find ways to make the run game successful.  The pass fed off of the run and that formula was pretty successful, even in down years. 

The way Dayton is playing right now, GCM.

There is not an equal on this freshmen team to either one of those.  It takes someone very special to contribute as a freemen and if they are not a starter you do not want them on Friday night sitting the bench. 

Bringing up some of the freshmen will do nothing but get them hurt.  They are not physically or mentally ready for Friday nights.  There are some serious character issues that need to be addressed on this team and as long as there are selfish players on the field this will be the results.  We will struggle.

Everyone from Dayton was hoping you were crazy.
