Goodness, I wish everyone would back of coach Faircloth, he and the boys from PNG I'm sure feel bad enough as it is.  He's a good guy and a good coach, just because he's struggled against Neumann, he can get in line for that club, folks need to ease up on the man.  This is not OU / UT as was noted before, these are high school kids.

This rivalry is more about the exchange Sage Seay and Adam Morse had on twitter than it is about baby powder on a track, or how one student section behaved versus another one.  This rivalry is about respect, and the players have it for each other.  The communities should follow their lead, good job boys.

Agree ndnmom, you are right on the money.  If PNG had been the ones to break the streak tonight, I'm sure there would've been things done on the Nederland side that some wouldn't be proud of.

Neumann best coach in this area ever in my generation, surpassed Hooks tonight in my eyes & thoughts.

Correction, Nederland has absolutely nothing to lose, this senior class has been a part of a 27 game winning streak, the longest winning streak in SETX for a class 4a/5a school.  This senior class has saved this season after a 0-3 start, and will be a big part of the playoffs... just wait and see.  This senior class has been a part of the 4 year winning streak against PNG, the longest for Nederland in the schools history.... this senior class has absolutely NOTHING to prove to this community, they have made their mark... and even though it was so eloquently made fun of, these Dogs will do their BEST.

See, NDNation, this kind of posting is fun, it's humorous, it's just a fun part of the rivalry.  Some things cross the line and just aren't classy.  As stupid as some of these pictures may seem to some on the outside, this is a classy and fun way to enjoy the rivalry.  You can read through some of these threads and easily pick out those who aren't trying to do it 'all in fun'.

If you saw Seay's interviews postgame talking about the play, he indicated they thought Central would try to toss it wide since they had pounded 3 straight up the middle.  He told the CB to swing it out wide and force the play into him, and that's what happened.  I don't think there's any way the rb could've gotten to the pylon based on what Nederland had dialed up on that play.  What I would have done is a play action pass on third down, but that's easy to second guess at this point.  It seems it was just meant to be that night.  There is no way Nederland should've pitched a shut out in the second half, that was just crazy.

The players know the blood and guts each have spilled getting to this point and what will be put on the line by each team Friday night.  Some of these fans have a hard time appreciating the respect that breeds between the "PLAYERS", you know those kids who are actually gonna play the game.  They won't be dogging each others mascots, or fight song, or facilities... they are the ones in the arena and have an intense respect for each other.

True, add these new recruits to the recruits they already have from PA and their recruiting coordinator will be busy ensuring the numbers keep them in 5A.

Not saying this will happen to Morse or Seay, but typically it takes a few series before the quarterback can get their adrenaline under control and float their passes in to spots.  Running games will be key in the 1st quarter to allow the qb's to come back to earth, in general QB accuracy is something I will look for in this game due to the very thing the past few posters have brought up. 

I'm just hoping a yell practice doesn't make us play defense like the Ags, that would make for a pretty long night.

From what I read, this is 9:00 practice versus midnight, so completely different. 

No offense, but we just won a slobberknocker to take it to 27, we'll deal with you boys next week, until then you enjoy your thrashing of Lumberton.  We're gonna celebrate this big win over here that few thought we had in us.
