1. No disrespect intended to Colby but was just wondering if he was hurt last season.I saw him pitch last year 3 times agaist different clubs and he they really hit the ball well against him.Unusual to see someone get a D1 scholarship that doesn't throw smoke.Congrats the Colby on the signing.
2. There is no excuse not to be prepared to shoot free throws in crucial situations. The players should take it upon themselves to shoot 100 free throws at the end of every practice. You do it when everyday and it becomes repetition. You shoot 50% from the line in close games and you'll get beat more often than not.
3. This is a rule that needs changing. I could possibly see this in a district or playoff setting but the officiating in some our local tournaments just isn't good enough to be able to delegate these type penalties.I've watched Duane coach for years and while he sometimes gets upset and gets his point across I've never seen him doing anything that warrants ejection.
4.
What part is Mechanics, Mental, repetition, form? Or all the above? Ever seen anyone with terrible form that was a good shooter?  Pistol Pete said he had a little imaginary friend that went with him everywhere he went. He would watch the little guy shoot and he never missed...lol
All of the above. You can put a kid on the wall shooting spots. If he has the dedication and the work ethic he can make himself a shooter.I watched one go to the gym at 6am for years and do it.There are no short cuts to becoming a pure shooter.
5. My version of the mercy rule is "If you don't want to get beat bad, GET BETTER !!!!! ". Let's just give everyone a trophy Geez !!!
6. Lots of sophomores on the diamond last year for Warren and you know what they say about sophs?? The best thing about em is they become juniors :) Warren will be improved and deeper, they have a legit shot at a title but Buna is the champ until somebody beats em.
7. Size matters (LOL) and this year thats in the hawks corner. Most of the original list could relate to any game.Home court will benefit the Tigers but not enough to pull this one out.HJ wins this one by 7. HJ-78 Silsbee=71

9. They could use break  ::)
10.
yeah i know that but kountze is young and will keep growing up, it doesn't happen over night!!!
They wil win the district but don't have the size to make any serious playoff runs this year.Buna is gonna get the 3rd spot this year (Whitmire is turning that program around)
11. I'll agree it all stats with the PG.This years group doesn't quite have the make up to play the system that has worked so well for them for years.
12. I've watched Kountze several times this year and youth isn't their problem. They are the smallest on the press I've ever seen a Lions club be so they are not getting the turnovers to run the break. The biggest trouble I've seen in the half court game is they don't have anyone to put pressure on the middle of the defense to open Linn up behind the arc. They basically have 4 people watching the man with the ball on the offensive end.On the bright side they have a guy on the bench that won't rest until he gets them lined out. They will finish in the top 2 in the district this year but I don't see a long playoff run for the Lions this year. It's dangerous to put all your eggs in a freshmans basket no matter how good he is projected to be.
13. Been a long time since I saw the Lions score 34 !!!!
14. Amen. I really hate to see it because this group has some potential. This isn't fair to the players but it looks like the program has been pretty much written off.

Buna really isn't that bad but kountze didn't play great..
So if teams do bad against Warren then they aren't that good?  Why couldn't it be that Warren isn't that bad?
Kountze is a young team as well.. and yes war party over the past few years Warren has been pretty bad...they could be improving but playinbut until I see different ill have the same opinion
Unfortunately there isn't much emphasis put on the the program at Warren anymore. They have some kids who could be developed into players but it would take time in the gym in the off season and during the season and they just don't get it.They had one tournament on their schedule this year in Evadale.I can understand budget cuts but when you have tourneys played in Woodville,Big Sandy,Colmesneil,Spurger and West Hardin it is a scheduling joke not to be playing.
16.
Dist. 24-2a is down this year. What do yall thing.
Buna has a good young coach who has them playing better than they have in several years.Other than the Cougars everyone else seems to be down quite a bit this season.
17. I thought with a few days off during the holidays I would check out this years club but according to their schedule they took off from Dec 16th to January 3rd.With all the holiday tournaments I can't believe a club would take a 17 day break. You have to stay in the gym to improve your team, especially with a district schedule starting full force next week.
18. I think Buna is improved a little this year over the past but overall the whole district seems to be down this season.
19. Evadale has a coach that has been on the bench at every level.Come on trophyman sometimes clubs just get behind, especially ones that depend on shooting the 3.Those type clubs are never out of it but are also subject to get down big when they are cold.Evadale and Kountze have a different style of play based on their athletes not their coaches.
20.
I would like to apoligize for the gym not being shooter friendly, the low ceiling and the bad refs. Maybe next time we can feed everybody and put both teams up in a motel(first class of course)  ;D
LOL I knew I'd wake ya up with that remark LOL
21. The young guy is doing a really good job with the Cougars. They will be in the playoff hunt this year.
22. They should have stopped and played in Zavalla .Really nice gym that is shooter friendly :) You know me though I'm partial to the shooters.
23.

In the Silver Bracket Championship, Nacogdoches Central Heights defeated Kountze, 55-39
Smh. The "Jekyll and Hyde" season continues for us.... :( :(
Not the same club you're used to watching KHSAlum400.When they presuure the ball and play the game that Kountze has played for years they have alot of potential. They get in trouble when they start standing around wondering who's gonna shoot it next.
24. I have no connections to the HFISD and no clue what got the Coach dismissed but it's a sad day for all parties involved. I always liked Coached DeCellos coaching style and it's been years since HF had a team capable of beating Kountze.Hopefully the kids will get a coach that can keep the program on the rise but you usually don't find those type coaches at the junior high.
25. Kountze is a little smaller this year than they have been in the past which has cut down on their steals on the defensive end. They seem to be playing 1 on 5 on the offensive end. They need someone to step up and put pressure on the defense, that will open Linn up on the perimeter. When he gets back to that type of game the Lions will be fine.
