Another CO DC, number 6 for Nederland this decade, no other team id rather share it with than PNG. 

PNG's defense has showed up. That's the biggest surprise these last few games. Who knew PNG could play defense? 

Stay classy, PN-G fans.  I love winning and beating nederland...but the bulldogs are always a good rival and a solid program. Enjoy this W Indian fans and tip your cap to the nederland kids for playing hard and representing Mid-County with class.  Regroup Indians and bulldogs and get ready for the playoffs.

I think PN-G should focus on getting an attitude on defense rather than the fightsong - just my perception though.  Fight songs don’t stop the other team from scoring unfortunately, if so they’d be undefeated.

I believe you are correct.  In fact our defense doesn't stop other teams from scoring, any more than our fight song does. However, I am sure that if a band member played his instrument poorly, the band director would be give another musician a chance to play.  Maybe our defensive coordinator could try something like that. Hint...Hint!

You are so right. The band playing Cherokee is causing us to play terrible defense. Emailing the band director now.

Don't sleep on Santa Fe.. I did, and boy was I wrong. Sitting there like Rocky in his first match with Clubber Lang. Come out swinging, next thing you know you're knocked out and your trainer dies. (2nd part didn't happen in the Vidor game though)
 
But seriously. Santa Fe was impressive. The offensive playcalling was well executed. Their receivers don't drop a lot of passes. QB can sling it, or run. and their defense is speedy and decent sized.
Shug has a clutch ability, so you never want to rule out the purple Indians.
I'll pick PNG...just because they play Cherokee louder than Santa Fe does.
If we all have a personal hell awaiting us...I think a glimpse of mine would be in PNG's stadium this Friday. 3 hours of a continuous Cherokee loop. Better change my ways.

They seem to be the popular pick for homecomings, we saw what happened last time they were at a homecoming, PNG better Fix.that.defense. 

Frustrating to watch teams hang around that wouldnt otherwise if the D was average. Still, got to trust that the O does enough to win. Wish we would utilize the center of the field in the passing game more often. Most of the turnovers come when we run bootlegs toward the Wr we are throwing to. I hate those sideline pass bootlegs.

Better find some defense. If not, the next 2 weeks will be L’s. 

Purple Indians need to take it up a notch for this one.

The teams we have beaten do not have winning records except for Crosby and they just picked up loss #2. Dayton hasn't won a game and they took us down to the wire. If the defense can't get stops at crucial times, and I'm not talking about lights out, just something, then trying to outscore an opponent isn't going to get us far. Out the 3rd round again, if we make it that far. We should have been seeing some kind of improvement by now.

Is the PNG D getting worse each week? Or flatlining out?

Broadcast just said RJ had 184 yds passing at half.  Doesn’t that put him at the top of PN-G passing record overall now?
