1.
No Huffman did get a win to Cleveland but we were not impressed at all. We left at halftime. seen enough. In my opinion alot of bad coaching. Could have so easly been a differant ball game.
Had to me pi$%^ poor coaching for Huffman to blow out Cleveland. Forget the fact the Huffman has a gr8 QB, RB, WR , LB, DL, etc..........had to be bad coaching for Cleveland.
 2. So playoff implications is more of a game of the week opposed to the district championship? IMO Cleveland is going to give Liberty all they can handle. Cleveland has gr8 athletes, just can not put it all together. If Huffman was not playing, this would be the game I would attend though!
 3. Heck as fast as we score, Huffmans D stays on the field. LOL......... What will beat Huffman, will be the BIG PLAY. What will beat CS is getting frustrated and inpatient FROM the lack of a big play. Watching video, there is not many sustained drives from CS. Townley strength is NOT scrambling by any means. So, if CS D puts that kind of pressure and WR you are talking about, could be a long night. What a chess match! I can guarantee one thing, both coaches will have their boys ready to play! THE EAGLE: Wont get ugly little brotha! 51-7 is a pipe dream! ;D
 4. this offense does not need time for the QB to throw the ball. The ball is out in a hurry and against Cleveland the only time Townley was pressured was in the 3rd and we totally ran a different offense that in the 1st half. It could be said the same thing when Cleveland played CS. NO INTENSITY!  COME ON MAN! Huffman is in the best shape of any team in the district! Trust me when I say they will not wear down. GOOD LUCK AGAIN TO BOTH SIDES! Injury free for both before the playoffs!
 5. HUFFMAN 35 CS 27 I base that off NOTHING. Just like you NAYSAYERS pick CS to blowout Huffman! Just ike promises that CS wins! Just like MOST of you have done against Huffman all season long and we just keep rolling. CS better strap ya chin straps up when ya roll in to OUR HOUSE!
 6. So do 3 or 4 teams come out of the district? I think its 3 but over the years in another district we took 4.
 7.
Cleveland and Liberty will be fighting for the last playoff spot in the district,I dont believe either team is going to just walk away with it.Even though Coldspring and Huffman play for the district championship those who really know football know that this game is going to be one sided.
COLD SPRINGS AND HUFFMAN SHOULD BE THE GAME OF THE WEEK! Why have the game of the week for the 3rd and 4th spot???????????????????????
 8.
I think Cleveland will win it by at least one touchdown. The both played Shepherd about the same. They are a good matchup.
:P
 9.
I was at the game, couldnt update the scores because of the great 3G service at the stadium... anyways the Liberty's offense wasnt clicking like it normally does, + penalties brought back a lot of first downs and punt return for touchdown by jones... the defense has played better games but in the end they won and next week they should pick up another win against cleveland.
Not so fast. Cleveland vs Liberty will be a gr8 matchup. Cleveland is very physical and run the ball well. This could be a fun game. Wish I could be there but we have our own matchup with some team named Cold Springs! ::)
 10. Huffman has improved each game offensively. Townley has this thing figured out. I saw him grow tonight as he was flushed out of the pocket and threw it away. He would have forced this earlier. Gray had big time yards in the first half then never saw much of him in the 2nd. With the exception of the first two series, D was on lockdown. Cleveland pulled some of the cheap shots, extracurricular crap, in the 2n half but nothing to get too terribly upset about. I saw the ref on a half dozen times reach in to throw the flag and left it in his belt. Anyways, good luck to Cleveland the rest of the season. Stacked full of talent and awfully young. Huffman will be preparing for CS, however you do that next week. Should be a good one and not for the faint of heart!!!!!!!!!
 11. I predict a blowout Huffman 45- Cleveland 7 Huffman is too disciplined of defense and rarely out of position, not giving up the big play often. Huffman offense will keep em spread and pick a young secondary apart. What I would like to see is Huffman play 4 quarters and keep the foot on the accelerator and blow Cleveland out worse than 45-7. Good luck to both teams and lets hope for a clean injury free game!

The real question - Does it really matters who wins this game?
It matters to the kids and coaches who work thier butts off every week.
True, and that's about all that will show up for this one.
Paratrooper Your an idiot! Probably never played a lick of any high school sport so you dont know what it feels like to be on either end of a winning or losing season. Good Luck to both teams!
 13.
U want your team playing with A CHIP ON THEIR SHOULDER.. HATEFULNESS.. its a thread, its just fans jawing back and forth..None of it has to do with the outcome of the game... None of us are coaches or players so its just pointless.  I hope we see a great football game... The matchup will be a good one. Coldspring better not be overlooking Huffman or they will get hit in the face.  A great CS "D" and rushing attack  vs.  Huffmans killa spread attack and rallying D.... Cant wait, hope I can go
Good post! I tell my boys to play with a chip on their shoulder! Its just the way football is played. Man I just hope Huffman does not overlook Cleveland. I dont think they will and should handle Cleveland scoring early and often, but this game has been on both teams radar from day 1. Should be intense and how bout the game of the week for district!!!!!!!!!!!!
 14.
Falcon89 their is no making excuses..

Wasnt Huffman 4a in 07.  When did Huffman drop from 4a. Huffman should never be a doormat in 3a with the numbers they have. They have 4a enrollment.. I wonder how reallignments will affect them.  But congrats to the coaching staff for getting the kids to play and build a successful program
How does Huffman have 4A numbers? Liberty and Cleveland were formerly in 4A also. By your logic they should be 4A. Huffman is not the largest school in the district and they have 3A numbers and will be 3A for the next several years. Get a grip and quit making excuses.
Just asking a question.. man can we say a little defensive. I think i have the right to ask when u were a 4a about 5 yrs ago.. Plus Im a TROJAN so I have no need to worry or complain.. We get it down at a very high level with half the kids soo..
I guess I dont understand your question???????????? I think Huffman has a D. Just look at the stats! MAybe not shutting folk out like CS but holding teams to minimum yards and scores! Let me tell ya a little somethin, Huffman is not going into the CS game expecting to lose! ANDDDDDDD it dont matter how many kids in the school SOOOOOOOOOOO! See ya next week!
 15. You say good job and get ready for the next game! You guys have not won district yet! You have beaten the same teams Huffman has. The style of play is much different and Cold Springs is indeed deeper. So, when you put in 2nd and 3rd string players, they are still better athletes than most in the districts first team, EXCEPT Huffman. Besides the game against Sheperd where the kids come out flat, every other game has been a blowout in the first half. Look for Huffmans side to be packed as well and this is definitely going to be a playoff type atmosphere. Even if it indeed becomes a blowout, this district is still going into the playoffs to make noise. BTW Huffman as a bye the last week to scout their playoff opponent!
 16.
I think Cleveland will win it by at least one touchdown. The both played Shepherd about the same. They are a good matchup.
Are you freaking kidding me? Cleveland will down big before halftime. That spread of HH is money and given a little bit of time, Townley will pick them apart. HH D brings it as well. Sheperd got like negative yards in the 2nd half and HH scored like 28 unanswered points in the 2nd half.  HH by 35 at least!
 17. Dont think anybody is trying to discredit CS. The proof is in the puddin how good they are and they have a gr8 shot to make it to Dallas. Huffman respects CS BUT dont expect Huffman to just lay down and take a S%$ whooping from them. After this weekend against Cleveland, I expect this board to be blowing up with the CS/Huffman matchup. The beauty for Huffman is this is the last game of the season for us until playoffs. We have a bye week the final week of regular season and you can bet we will be up watching Silsbee. BTW Huffman blows out Cleveland and gives up a TD. Huffman 45 Cleveland 7
 18.
Do you realize both of you (Huffman) and Cleveland had trouble with Shepherd and they have not won a game. So both of you are equal in talent, one game is enough for me to see. Yes Orangefield, Crockett, and Madisonville will beat Huffman, it is a good thing you didn't play them. Cleveland has something to prove next week and I will be there to watch the first serving of crow be choked down.
What does Cleveland have to prove? They got beat by a gr8 team and going to get beat again by a gr8 team! Huffman still has not had a complete game on either side of the ball and handled everyone so far. Hope we start out of the gates against CS or it will indeed be a long night. IMO CS will not have near the success they have had with other teams in the distict. Aslo, Huffman will be returning two D starters next week. CS and Liberty might even be a pretty good game. CS wins but might be a good game!
 19. Had an ole coach tell me " son ya getting the ball this play, run like ya stole somethin" Baytown Lee Ganders 1990!
 20.
I really think this tiger team can go far if the play calling and execution gets better on offense this is the first good defense I have seen us have I at least 4 years so when the offense gets back to full strength with reed back we will fine we will not have yo deal with coldsprings and we are use to playing Huffman by now so our tigers will be fine and as far as drake goes he did all he could to help the tigers win but I as a coach would have ran spearman 40 times if I could he would have scored sooner or later but don't worry tigers you guys will be fine just keep winning.
That last game of the season for Silsbee MAY have playoff implications. Interesting!!!!!!!!!!
 21. 41-7 Huffman wins. Scored 21 in first and just handled business the rest of the game. Hats off to Splendora..............them boys play hard and never quit. They were fairly physical! Moving on to Cleveland!
 22. Hang on to your horses TROJANMAN! Couple of more games b4 this battle. Huffman big tonight!
 23.
Lets see if you can handle Coldsprings first. Believe me Huffman will not win.
Thats the beauty of rooting for your home team! The time is coming in 3 weeks for the CS and Huffman matchup. CS wont put up those numbers against Huffman and wont shut Huffman down either. Either way, the district should represent well in the playoffs. Ya know we handled Liberty but they are a good team and not to be overlooked in the playoffs.
 24. Huffman fans are very quiet. One person that is not quiet is that wanna be 17 year old cheerleading wife of mine! LOL
 25.
Well you never know what can happen just like when Huffman played Shepherd, Huffman didnt do what they thought. :-\
AND WHAT WAS THE FINAL? Moving on to Splendora............Huffman might just score 60. Hope the team you are rooting for makes the playoffs!
