2009 they ran the spread even against PNG all season long. Atterberry was the QB for that game, Forney was hurt during that game. Sonnier ran some wildcat. Wildcat worked so well, the next Sonnier ran it a lot during that game and basically ran it every red zone possession and beat PNG in 2010. 2009 they wasn’t bad on offense the injury bug bit them Bellows went down week 1. Back up qb went down week 2 or 3 (Smith I believe) Then Forney came in didn’t do a bad job he was so hard to take down, reminded me of Big Ben from the Steelers. Had a cannon of a arm. 2010 football team is the year they had a ton of sophomores starting on both sides of the ball and still managed to get into the playoffs as well..The teams have found a way to get in, this one who knows? But we will have a better picture after Friday night

I hope Nederland wins... but I just don’t know at this point. Weird and tough seeing that record we have. I’m starting to think about all those underclassmen (most freshman in a extremely long time) starting last year was possibly a glimpse of a bumpy season this year? Field watering duty started last night bud, after the homecoming bomb fire was put out by the great people of NFD. They left the water hoses out and running to the field for us, giving it a few extra days to soak the field.

This is game 2 of district with Nederland already 1-0. In the famous words of Aaron Rodgers “R-E-L-A-X” This 1 game wont define the season, and sure in hell won’t define if Nederland makes the playoffs or anything still several games left, anything can happen with this district. Like Vidor’s win against Crosby. But winning is one step closer to several goals to this team. But hell according to several posters if Nederland wins Friday it’s considered a huge upset in the district lol
