  1. Well I have $12.27 I can donate to the wo-s turf fund. I hope that helps.
  2. I liked the wo-s vs. pn-g game of 99'. That was very good game. wo-s and stephville were the only teams that could touch pn that year.
  3. Thanks guys, all of you for your suport. If you all get a chance sometime come check out the work they did. It is eye poping. I think the best thing that happened, is that seeing something this beautiful in the middle of total devastation has given everyone down here motivation.
  4. Guys this is so amazing!!!!! We had a suprise concert at 6 AM today and it was great. They cleaned up a ship yard down here and brought in some great bands. Goo Goo dolls, Nickle back, and 3 doors down. Free!!!! And in sabine of all places. It's so nice to know that these people really care and are so passionate. Man, I am at a loss for words. I heard that the show will air on the 16th of april. By the way....these guys don't mess around. Their word is true with everything they say....I don't know if I can take to many more of thier suprises. I am so proud to be from this Town!
  5. I have never seen so many people in my little town before. Even when sartin's was still here and the highway to galvaston was still open. Extreme Make over has been so great to this little town. Here is what they are doing. Rebuilding the theater, rebuilding the fire station. They sent the One-Act Play cast to New York for a week durring the construction. And for the towns people, they are taking every one who lives in a FEMA trailer for a fun day on the town. Extreme Make Over is the most Honest donation this town has recived. Most of the other donation's have had strings attached with them. Going as far a religious beliefs. Never the less, Sabine is starting to sprout up again, and it will be beautiful when it's done.
  6. That still makes me sick. I would have loved to have 30 kids on my team. we did it with 14 w/o a district. I only got a break between 1st and 2nd quarters....half time I had to march with the band.
  7. The oilers should do just fine. They have some tuff boys out there, and hit hard. Sabine only played 4 games last year and are losing a few big guys this year. I say two years for them to get ready. I will try to find the sced.
  8. I would say the best gym in the area is by far 1A evadale's. It's so open in there it's hard to make a shot. here is a link [Hidden Content]
  9. The 86 sabine pass team was pretty good. They got up to #6 in the state polls and beat some larger schools. I think even a 3a team. They lost by 1 in the semis to Italy. Colmesneilfan1, I think your right about the north and south districts. Makes alot more sense then driving that far for a game.
  10. Well they havent won a game in 2 season nor had a winning season since I left in 2000. But the numbers are up. In 2000 we had 48 in high school. Now with alot of the SFA kids going there we are over 100 kids. We have a new coach comming in for next year, looks to be promising. But I know where I will be on friday nights. I will have to read about the sharks in the paper.
  11. I was thinking about the 1A district for next year. The current district is Evadale, High Island, Burkeville, Chester, Hull, and colmaniel. Given that West Hardin could be droping down and Sabine Pass Reentering District after a 16 year absents. That would make a large 8 team district. But in basketball you would have a 9 team adding spurger in there. Might just have to split that thing up.
