Fitzpatrick as the right to make any gestures say anything he wants he is the best overall athlete friendswood has and he's a way better athlete than anyone on nederland he had a chance to play baseball and football in the college level and it was all D1 offers not junior colleges he chose just to play football at North Texas he's a stud swinging a hot bat so say whatever you want but fitzpatrick play backs up what he saids!!
After watching your boy tonight I very seriously don't believe any D1 school would offer a baseball ride. Nederland players don't need to run their mouths to show how good they are, they do it on the field. Oh yea, BYE BYE Friendswood

Congrats Dogs way to hang in there and finish it. This is a very special group of young men.

Another strong win for the Dogs, that's the way to finish . Congrats to Jude on his slam & Kirby on another strong outing . Great job Dogs !

Dean was outstanding and the defense behind him was the best I've seen all year. Sonnier, Pitts, Schlett, Bellow, Laird, Cardenas, Vidrine, Dean, and Babino all made great plays. Just a spectacular all around game.
Big win but need to stay focused to finish it off in one on Saturday.
Ditto that, that was a great team win, our Dogs never gave up.

Josh Dean from Nederland 85-90 .
-
You had the best pitching...
That statement is agreeable . Kirby has had a M.V.P type season , Kirby and Josh deserve 1st team honors. Bruce from what I've seen is a good ballplayer . In my opinion Pitts should be 1st team with Bruce 2nd team.

Both teams stranded runners. The difference that I saw in this game was pitching. Dallas Brown didn't have his best stuff but allowed his defense to work behind him. Josh Dean obviously, after the PNG game results, also did not have his best stuff. His walks and hit-by-pitches didn't allow the defense to make a play for him and made for a big second inning for the Bears. He's a young pitcher and it goes that way some times. Griff switched pitchers quickly to stop the bleeding before the damage was done and Nederland's coach gave his pitchers a chance to work out of it and made the change after the lead was lost. I tip my hat to the Dogs for not giving up after such a big second inning and congratulations to LCM on the win. Dogs keep battling. You need some help but your still in it!
I agree with that about pitching up to a point , What I remember is both starters gave up 6 runs and I think I read that Ned outhit LCM . The difference
to me were the runners left on base and the k's with runners in scoring position . LCM did what they had to do . Now it's the dogs turn to get it done. Dayton & Lumberton are two good teams . It always comes down to this...who wants it the most . GO DOGS !
-
I'm just going on memory , I don't remember LCM leaving runners on base . Does anyone have team totals on how many men were left on ?
-
Anyone know who Dayton started ?
-
Can anyone tell me who the 2 starters were in this game ?
-
Brown started, Waddell came in in the 4th, did a great job holding Ozen to no runs all the innings he pitched.
Thanks for the info , Waddell has looked good every time I've seen him.
-
Good job Ozen . Anyone know who the pitchers were for LCM ?
-
Great game Josh Dean . Alot of Dogs hit well , but Pitts 2 out, 3 run 2b was huge . McFarland & Vidrine's hits & rbi's were awesome . Ryan Sampere came in and did an excellent job slamming the door . Also hats off to Robbins giving Mr. Dean the start.
-
Nederland has about two guys that can hit.
Nederland had more hits than LCM tonight . To many k's with RISP, add a couple baserunning blunders into the mix , Ned had alot of traffic on the bases tonight . One big base hit changes things
-
Did sampere throw for nederland?
Cody Laird goes 3 1/3 , 6 runs, 5 hits ,2 errors.
Josh Dean goes 3 2/3 , 1 run , 4 hits, 0 errors

Coach bashing DWC? Get on board man. Sharpen those pencils for your scorebook so you can tell everybody you where right at the end of the season. Vidor and Ozen where upset, i guess it's time to fire their coaches too. Positive comments and information is whats this board should be about. Nederland vs. Bridge City at 5:00, Sulphur vs. Bridge City at 7:30. DWC i heard there is a 1a High School Coaching opportunity in Fairbanks, Alaska go ahead and get you some. To all Nederland Baseball Players and Coaches we as fans are 100% behind you. Play loose.
Coach bashing ? How can you confuse an opinion that when your getting your butt kicked that it might be a great time to look at a few players.
If you can't see that Ray your blind. Also Alaska is too cold.

Sounds like somebody isnt on the team or not playing ??? ??? Have no tyes to the baseball team but have watched these kids play and was probably an off night and WB is no Joke .. Nederland will do fine in a tough district keep your head up dogs and DWC put in for the next coaching job mabee you can take them to state :
just the facts ma'am. And thank you for the state-ment it's been awhile since we've seen it.
b-a-g fan I do have two things to say to you. SPELL CHECK

Games in February are not much more than scrimmages. When the time comes where teams aren't pitching everybody we will see who is best.
This is my point , open it up and look at every player, don't become locked in now, you just might miss a good one that will help you when it matters.
-
DWC who do you want taken out of the lineup? I guess the coaches need to replace 95% of the lineup. ??? McFarland, Sampere, Broussard, and Stanley are proven players. Pitts, Vidrine, and Bellows have performed well so far. Richard played well Saturday and pitched well Tuesday. Dean is pitching great. You were touting Saturdays results but now ignore them to make your point. Who do you pull and who do you put in their place? The coach has to go with who he has confidence in and get them game time experience in preseason while giving other players a chance to compete. I would hate to have to try juggling it. Especially with Nederland's talent pool.
Competition at all positions builds your team, keeps everyone hungry.Players must be seen before decisions are made. Saturdays post talked about great
pitching and an exceptional day at the plate, Defence was omitted on purpose.

18-4 WB wins
WOW, there's a lesson in this for Big Ned.
What's the lesson? A bad night. It's one game and not the end of the world. It's preseason and the coach appears to be still finalizing his bullpen as well as one or two other positions(catcher and right field). That's why you give some guys a chance. It didn't work tonight. Except for Stanley, Pitts, and Vidrine, the bats struggled. It happens.
The lesson is , when you fill out your line-up card before tryouts your limiting your success, what was learned from the first Westbrook game, nothing, same results 95% same line -up card , Westbrook only won 10-4 in that one. Is that a pattern?
