Its not Newton's fault their talent is way ahead of everyone in their district.  The UIL made up their district......The starters can't play a 1/2 of football every week until bi-district and be ready for teams like Tatum, Cameron, or Daingerfield and even Troup.

Might I add.....it does look better to recruiter for any sport if they see potential recruits play and are good at all sports.  It tells the recruiter that we (the recruiter) can recruit this kid and he can fill in anywhere for a particular need.  I wish the Twine boy the best.

The pirates did better than I thought against CC.  I see the pirates getting second or third in this district.  NW and Groveton are beatable for sure.  Deweyville WILL beat anderson-shiro and Hemphill as both those teams are awful!!!!!  NW will be second and the pirates will have to beat Groveton to get in.  Where does dville play NW and Groveton?  Tough for teams to play and win in deweyville.  Good job pirates!

The crow cafe will be busy saturday morning.......LOL.  People forget Newton has been waitin for the Bucs for this game.  I dont see EC winning.....Newton is way better than they were last year and the year before.  My pick is Newton 42 EC 34.  Newton has something to prove and they are hungry!!!!!!

They are corrigan....what more can you say?  They lift weights and play football there.....dont do much of anything else.  They played a brutal non district schedule like they normally do......Pirates will have their hands full.  Also I heard their freshmen/soph group they have is the best group coming up they have had in 20 years.  Good luck both teams!

IT would be nice for the pirates to upset CC.........not a fan of CC.

Hope to see Dville upset CC this week but.....not gonna happen.  CC is more talented and had has played a 100 times tougher schedule.....CC isnt HD,WH or SP....My prediction CC 46, DV-24

I have heard he is missing next week to go play in an all-star baseball game..........I guess its true,0-3 its quitting time!

There is more talent and commitment in WS......has been for the last 5-7 years

[/quote] I agree with you.....thats why I kept saying about how hemphill can't blame their struggles on coaches......its not always the coaches fault.  You have almost a brand new coaching staff and you are still getting the same results you had under the previous staff......did some of the coaches probably need to go from the last staff....yes.  Can't always blame coaching.....thats why I kept saying it over and over.  Until you get kids who want to be "real" football players and commit....the hornets will not be any good.  They are too interested in hitting a baseball in hemphill right now and they could be good at both.  On top of lack of talent.....you have a lack of committment in HH.
