Kingwood park beat Kelly 3-0.  They are big ,  fast and very good soccer team..  They took three shots on our goal from inside 18.  One header made it in.  The other two goals came on long shots. One a direct kick was mishandled and tapped in.  The other was from about 25 out.  So our defense played really well even though the score is 3. 

Kelly beat Houston Christian,  in a district game 6-0.  Two goals by Zack C.  Two goals by Matt Lighty,  a goal by Phillip Parker and Aaron Hegeman.  But more impressive is the DEFENSE play .  Nat, Josh, Josh, AND Hunter did very well in the back.  Lumberton Friday night.

Kelly guys have Kingwood Park there tonight and a district game Tuesday home against Houston Christian.  At home on Friday againt Lumberton and its senior night..

Bullets.  Your an administrator.  How is this post soccer related?  I am enjoying reading the comments but however shouldnt this be under trivia, movie trivia or just  somewhere else.  Hard to ask the  people on here to take the site serious when the admin isnt.

Looks like some great games coming up.  Hope they rain holds off and lets the games be played under good conditions.

HAHA... Yes I may could win a game or two with Yates.  Like that.  I believe that Kellys girls would make it into the playoffs fairly deep if they were a 4A school. However I disagree that "anyone" could take a team with alot of Talent and win.  Far off base. Just look at the US Natl Basketball team a few years back, USA baseball team in the last few years and say Englands Mens National Team. All were loaded with the best their nations have and struggled in their pools.  Keeping the talent going the rite direction and making sure they remember their place in the TEAM is very difficult. Add their personal problems (grades, boyfriends, girlfriends, homework and habits away from the field) add a bigger and more difficult problem for the youngsters..  It isnt easy with grown men and women  whose job is their sport and even more difficult with young men and women, who have so much more stress in the lives than just winning or losing.  Keeping them focused is quite the challenge. But great fun none the less.  I have done club for a bunch of years.  Difference in high school and club.  Club you pick the BEST kids and they are there because they  want to play. They came and tried out for the team and you have the luck of not picking players that arent as good and not really wanting to do what the coach wants. Then schools like Kelly have 30 to 35 kids come out for JV and Varsity (in a good year) and then you take them all and work with them, teach them, and develeop them into their place on the TEAM. However small it is or large their part is you have to have them so the dropoff from top player to bottom players is so much more of a gap than club.  Club was great but I thoroughly enjoy the high school side of things and realize how hard it is.  I know you were not saying that any coach was not doing their job well.  I was just posting this as a perspective.... I'm just saying........... haha Gluck guys and gals

I believe we all agree that HF is doing amazing for a team that is relatively new to the league.  I am not thinking that anyone is mad because of predictions and or outcomes..  That is what stirs up conversation, ,It is the pulling for your team and explaining things on why you should win, and what you are basing it on.  I am pretty sure the griping may be  the comments all year about the player from HF that is suppose to be the next world class player if in fact this player exist.  Its the other things that are not really interesting.  In fact when you predict games and have reasons behind it... thats great.  I wouldnt expect HF fans or Lumberton, Vidor , Nederland and any other team not to pick their teams to win.  Go Kelly.  Thats my pick to win

We play in Louisiana quite a bit.  Their message board is great.  The discussions they have help us scout the teams we play because they go into detail discussing games. Not stupid remarks and not bashing each other.  Actual discussions and they have people that keep records on the boards, and go out and watch different teams to give opinions. When they give their opinions it may be a little bit of griping but nothing like ours.  And people respond and appreciate the remarks.  Just be great if we can get this to be like theirs.  

I agree, never any discussion about a game, or opinion concerning soccer.  Usually a player asking questions so someone will maybe mention his name as being great or doing great.  Its quite obvious when they ask the greatest players in southeast texas and list just a certain list. Why not ask whose the best player on the other team.  And see if possibly anyone could be serious and answer an intelligent answer.

Kelly lost to Klein High School 5-1.  Tied Jersey Village 1-1.  Scored with 323 left in the game.  Jersey village scored with 124 left to tie.  Third game was a 0-0 tie against a very good Spring High School team.  A great weekend.  Goals for Kelly came from Cameron Roane and Aaron Hegeman.  Great great defensive effort in last two games and thrid game Willie Lighty did a great job in Goal.

Kelly guys play  PnG on Tuesday 7... Klein High on Thursday at 7.  Jersey Village on Friday at 3.  And Spring on Saturday at 9.
