[/quote] It and a couple of others games had to be played today as as not to violate state law about playing more than 1 game during the school week.  Nederland students school week ended earlier this afternoon as they attended to make up for the days in which the students missed for bad weather.  Thus, Nederland had to wait until this afternoon as they had already played their 1 game during the school week on Tuesday.

Well, let's not consider Coach Valastro out the door yet.  According to one statewide website, nobody within the Galveston ISD has even confirmed that the job had been offered. Ball is certainly a high enough profile school that Houston media would have been on it had some progress been made in the search and I have seen nothing.
