1.
They might be looking for a new head coach before u can predict what they are going to do next year
I'm sorry, I thought the H-F job was the only job he had applied for
2. Does anybody know if Coach Flanigan has been notified about it?  I know he is not at Crosby anymore but that was one of his kids while he was out there.
3.
Faircloth interviews for Tivy job?
He did interview.  But in fairness, I think either he or his wife have family in that area so it would have been like going home to them.

5. Did know you were such a fan of the Lions, Santa.
6. Congratulations and good luck, Coach Price.
7.
Thanks, question 2 Can a school post a job on THSCA without having a resignation?
I don't know that I'll find anything in the code, but I think a school which posts a job without either, 1) terminating the contract of the person in that job, 2) reassigning the person in that job to another position or 3) having the person in that job resign, would be in a bit of hot water.
8.
Should have picked Tilton!!
Boy, I can tell Coach Babin is gonna have a nice long honeymoon period.  ::) ::) ::)
9. Here is what the Texas Education Code states in Section 11.513 (d): The employment policy must provide that not later than the 10th school day before the date on which a district fills a vacant position for which a certificate or license is required as provided by Section 21.003, other than a position that affects the safety and security of students as determined by the board of trustees, the district must provide to each current district employee: (1) notice of the position by posting the position on: (A) a bulletin board at: (i) a place convenient to the public in the district's central administrative office; and (ii) the central administrative office of each campus in the district during any time the office is open; and (B) the district's Internet website, if the district has a website; and (2) a reasonable opportunity to apply for the position.
10. I see perhaps a good little pipeline developing between LSC-PA and LU!
11.

Frankly, I see Anahuac in a pretty good position given the list of coaches who have applied.  I easily AT LEAST 9-10 names on this list that Anahuac fans should have no gripe about if any of those coaches are hired as the next HC/AD.
I agree Grad. But we both know there will be gripes no matter who gets hired.
Oh, no doubt AAW.  And I guess as admins of this message board, we really shouldn't be too disturbed about that.  Guess you can't please all of the people all of the time.

13.
I thinkl Cowboy1981 is coach Goerge Taylor,  APanthers I think you are right on point. This person sure knows a lot about his boy George. If he's not George, then he is a coach trying to save his job if George gets hired!! Besides I heard Birdwell was his right hand man. The reason George has done all the other stuff is not because he is such a great person. It because one, no body else wants to do it, two its call getting a STIPEND!!!! One thing you can say about Barbay, he took care of his coaches and helped them out when ever he could in many different ways.. Cowboy1981, have a little class about yourself and not call out kids who you feel were either hard to coach or not the "perfect football player", that's rude.. Every programs has that. How about you call out coaches that can't coach, the coaches that are only in Anahuac because they can't find another job else where. As for your John Madden reference, that's comparing apples to oranges, but I wouldn't expect anything less from a cowboy fan...
I can confirm that Cowboy1981 is not George Taylor.
14. No offense, but this is kind of an unusual question to be asked at this point in the season.
15. Not to be an apologist for the Enterprise, but we must remember that the Enterprise has 1/3 less manpower this year on the high school sports beat than they did last year.  Last year, along with Jared Ainsworth and David Henry, they also had Gina Mizell, who if you recall did most of the soccer related articles. In the summer, Gina moved on to the Oklahoman where she now is the OSU beat writer.  David and Jared will have the team put together very soon, just give them a little room.
16. Oh, I am quite sure that Coach Faircloth had contingiency plans in place with the loss of Coach Wingfield...most coaches do. Congrats to Coach Wingfield.
17. Well, in this crowded field of great candidates, Toby should be put up there as well.  He has a wide range of experience in 5A down to the smaller school ranks and would be able to continue what Coach Barbay has started over there.
18. Just saw a twitter report that Jared Wingfield, PN-G offensive coordinator, has taken the HC/AD at Mabank.
19. Isn't the decision supposed to be announced tonight?
20. Yeah, the link stops in November of 2011
