Boyd over Arnold at Kountze?

I would start with #25 East Chambers and #17 Palestine Westwood. Westwood returns their 6'5" post Travion Hicks and Sutherland will have EC geared up and ready to go by the time district play rolls around. #18 White Oak should be in the running also. I think it will come down to Kountze and East Chambers in the end.

There's a huge possibility for both Silsbee and Kountze to represent at the State Tournament this year. I don't think that's ever happened.

Grayland Arnold will be on the court when the Lions conduct their 1st practice.

He plays football, basketball, and runs track. His move was definitely not for basketball reasons. If that was the case he could have stayed at Kountze, dont'cha think?

I expect the biggest role increase to be #10 "Ty" Edwards. He'll be a Soph. this year. He put up alot of points last year coming off the bench.

Harper ended up at Mississippi Valley State. The home of our Brother Jerry Rice. I believe he's playing football there.

Funny... I vividly remember you saying the same thing last year too and we all see how that turned out.... That was almost a cookie-cutter, copy-and-paste textbook response from you. Watch out for the Kountze underclassmen this year. Harper graduated and Cunigan moved to Ozen for his Sr. season. I expect a smooth transition in those roles by some underclassmen who didn't have to do much last year. You'll see.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Joubert will make one last run with Arnold this year in basketball and hand over the reigns to Coach Williams next year.

I heard both teams are 0-0 on the '15-'16 basketball season.

  He got 3rd at Regionals running a 10.75. That qualified him with the 4th best time in the State. 3 of the top 4 times were from Region 3.

AAW would argue that Michael Jordan isn't one of the greatest basketball players in the world if Jordan went to Kountze High. It's just something about the name "Kountze" that AAW hates... :rolleyes:

  And also playing tennis.
