It's got to be Southerland.  HJ has been rich in talent since the early 90's, but it's been that long since a coach has been able to bring an HJ team this far.  If the talent has been consistent, you have to look at the coaching as the difference.  Southerland for coach of the year and president of the united states!  I even hear he might be Anna-Nicole's baby's daddy.

I like Boutte for this award.....Ozen looked like they would be down this year and he still goes to Austin.  Boutte works miracles! 

About Joubert......Kountze didn't lose the district title this year.  They and EC split it as co-champs. The game in the Montagne in which they lost was just for seeding as in who gets the bye in the first round of the playoffs.

What about Sutherland????? ???

I noticed that Thomas was the only one from EC up there he must have really carried that team then..

Seems like last night when HJ seemed to do nothing right for most of the first half.  Then they edged closer right before the half, then poured it on in the second half.

Whereas Silsbee did just the opposite, jumped to an early lead, then almost lost it.  This game is far from over.

Great job hawks! the first half we played like crap but the 2nd half we got it all together and came back and won! this was probably one of the best games ive ever seen.....and yes the refs were HORRIBLE! good luck hawks against silsbee

brandon is a very good player and deserves this honor.. the record this season is proof of that... he may or may not compete against those bigger schools as some of you say but you let me know if they have lead their teams to a record this year like letsinger has.. if I were to vote on one player I couldnt do as there is alot of talent in southeast texas, but when it comes to West Hardin then I am partical my kids went to school there from 3rd grade until graduation and never once did anyone give them the attention they deserved not even the media, so now they are in the spotlight and you jealous people out there just cant handle it because now your not in that #1 spot...... Let it alone... Let them have their Glory they deserve it..... This is a good bunch of kids they dont get messed up in drugs or stuff like that they play good together and have worked very hard as a team to get to where they are that is a result of hard work and great coach and great team work... so as far as player of the year my vote goes out to the whole West Hardin Team as they are players of the year in my book..... great job guys... take this one game at a time ... the the title is yours dont listen to all the foolishness on here they are just jealous of what you got because they want it.... GO OILERS

Ok unlike your idiotic self im not gonna insult your team and say were gonna win in a blowout, but i am going to say that if your team wants it bad enough they better bring there "A" game, because once your get our guys fired up they will be very hard to beat.
