  1. Wow, I love it. First, Brazoswood whipped the Mustangs pure and simple. FHS let it get out of hand early, got back into it, and had a chance to win it but could not stop Brazoswood. Second, TxCane, you need to learn to take it if you are going to dish it out. You are acting just like the Dayton losers who post on here all the time. I talk up FHS all the time, but I use actual facts and identify opinions when that is what I am offering, I acknowledge losses without excuses, and I offer congratulations on those rare occasions when FHS is defeated (at anything). You came on here like a little sycophant, trying curry favor with the Dayton losers by crticizing me, and then you can't fade the heat when the losers turn on you! I love it!!!!! You reap what you sow my friend. Third, Liltex, no one could care less if you were a marine in Vietnam (do you have to be really cool to call it "the NAM"). My what a tough guy you must have been in your day! But, now you are, to use your term, a shriveled up old antique! HaHa!!!!! And, being a shriveled up old antique does not give you license to lie -- I dare you to find the post where someone from Friendswood predicted a state championship this year!
  2. Ah, you know Fall is just around the corner when..... 5. Dayton fans play the "we would have won if this and but for that" in their annual loss to Friendswood. 4. Dayton fans start saying its actually a good thing they lost to Friendswood again (for at least the 5th straight time!). 3. Dayton fans start talking about how far they'll go in the 4A, Div II playoffs (get that Pop Warner application ready). 2. The obnoxious Dayton posters on this forum shrivel up like a you know what in cold water after the annual beatdown of the Broncos. 1. Dayton loses to Friendswood. BTW, PurpleHead, next time you are over this way feel free to stop by and look at Friendswood's STATE CHAMPIONSHIP pictures.
  3. No, I don't think they will win state. And, we are a bigger 4A school.
  4. TC is definitely not the TC of year's past. They are rebounding some, but still have a long way to go before they are back in the top half of our district. Based upon what I read about PNG, and what I know about TC, I see this as a pretty close game. I'll predict TC winning by 3.
  5. Oh, and we still are waiting ot hear from all those loud, pre-game Dayton boasters!!!! Tick tock!!!
  6. Wo, that was awesome Hawkeye. I've never seen that done before. You got me .................. gooooddddd ............. realllyyy!!!! See, I'll admit it, as I was reading your post, I was thinking how reasonable, even handed and fair minded a guy this Hawkeye must be and that anything you say must be right, and you must really be a cool guy, and how do I get to be more like Hawkeye (which, in case you did not know, is the nickname of the coolest guy on that TV show MASH and is also the Iowa mascot). Anyway, here I was thinking how smart and cool you are, and then you dropped that zinger on me. Wow, I bet other people are gonna try to use that trick, but you'll always be the FIRST!!!! Awesome. Hey, can I use that some time???? Of course, I'll tell everyone you invented that rhetorical trick!
  7. Well it's been two days now guys, and we still haven't heard anything from notorious chirpers like backflipper, etbu, knightrider, l-train, and even liltex (other than liltex logging on to make excuses us usual). Of the people who criticized my pre-game prediction, only JAYHAWK has been man enough to come on this forum and offer props to the MIGHTY MUSTANGS. p.s. Get ready bulldogs, your time is coming soon enough! ;D
  8. Man I love playing in Bronco, err, Mustang Stadium every other year! THE STREAK CONTINUES!!! Where are my Dayton forum buddies???????? Seriously, I wish I could join the love fest but aside from Ploch, I was not impressed with the Broncos. But for some terrible turnovers, it could easily have been a 25-30 point vicotry for FHS. The final score was MUCH closer than the game. I hate to say I told you so, but ........
  9. Yes, but it was in the D1 tournament. Hey, maybe if they create a D3 tournament, the Broncos can win it all. Or, to guarantee things, work your whay into the Pop Warner playoffs, and you can play on New Year's Day! HaHaHa! Only Dayton fans celebrate near misses!!!!
  10. all i can say is this friendswood fan, welcome to bronco stadium, home of the the state finalist '' DAYTON BRONCOS" : : : Yes, actually Knightrider, its called Mustang Stadium one Friday night every other year. Remember, FHS has been there before and handed out a butt whipping -- or you so lame that you forget. This is like shooting fish in a barrel (or fishin with dynamite for you Dayton hicks) every year -- most of you Bronco losers post the same drivel as last year. How'd that work out for ya? HaHaHa!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
  11. Friendswood played a game like scrimmage against Galveston Ball last night, and it was a huge blowout. The offense, which has to replace a great QB and 2 great receivers, was humming along like always -- although a bit more balanced than during the JK years. The defense, which returns 8 starters, was absolutely dominant and lights out! I was expecting a lot more from Dayton against a pretty miserable Bay City squad. Given that result, and what I hear about the Broncos scrimmages, I expect a TYPICAL Mustang romp by 20 points or more!
  12. That my or may not happen my Friendswood friend--but if it does I will trade a pre-district loss for a spot in the State Finals any day----BTW who did Friendswood play in late December last year? lol ur answer should be well lets see... basketball season started soon for FW lol Oh yes, a loss in the state semi-final of 4A/ Div. 1 is sooooo terrible. I'll take that, plus the annual tail-kicking of Dayton, over Dayton's season any day. Put it this way, when a FHS player and a DHS jacket see one another, I guarantee you that its the Bronco kid who looks away first. Why? Because one kicks the other's butt -- every year! LOL!!! LOL!!! LOL!!!
  13. Who cares about BH. I am hardly a Dayton fan, but NOWADAYS there is no comparison between the teams! Oh, and BTW Bronco fans, before your heads get to big, let me remind you that your annal beating at the hands of the MUSTANGS is almost upon you. And, the FHS coaches have no problem talking to the media. [Hidden Content]
  14. Purple 4Ever, you are so predictable that I can almost set my clock by you. Every pre-season you post on here predicting that Dayton will dominate Friendswood, and then, after the game (or should I say romp) is actualy played, you eat your words and start making excuses. ;D ;D ;D
  15. Liltex's anti-Friendswood bias (really jealousy) aside, I have to tell you that Friendswood does return a lot of starters and other who played lots of minutes on last year's state semifinalist team. Yes, the district is stacked, but Friendswood and Angleton should be alone at the top this year. As for Maetzold, he has great size and arm strength, and I expect that he will be top notch. He does not quite have Karam's escapability and poise under pressure, and the receiving corps may not be as great this year. Fortunately, with Cole returning, Maetzold does not have to be the focal point all the time like Karam was last year. And, the defense will be incredibly stout. Friendswood vs. Dayton is gonna be awesome, and maybe a preview of the playoffs.
  16. Hey, this is a great site. Much better than anything available over in Houston. Yes, PNG did well last year. And with an improved Nederland, maybe one or both GT teams will be able to challenge the Lady Mustangs this next year. To get there, however, I really think that both need to improve the quality of the non-district tournaments and games.
  17. You got me. Make sure you post a lot during the season. And, I actually meant it, I do hope a GT team can challenge this year.
  18. Well, I can, but apparently you cannot Mr./Ms. AIW.
  19. It sure would be nice to have a quality girls team come out of the GT area to make things interesting next year.
  20. There is simply no way that a 3A team can reasonably be included in any all classification top ten.
  21. Westend: You make it too easy by saying stupid things. So, if its sports, and Friendswood wins, you don't care. And, we already know that you don't care about academics. Your Friendswood-envy is showing way too much! GTJ: I presume you mean over the last ten years, and not just back in 1999. And, no, not off the top of my head. I'll see what I can find. But, I have no doubt that Friendswood has a big advantage -- the last Bulldog victory before the 2009 baseball playoffs (that I can recall) was a football playoff game at Rice University about 8 years or so ago. During that time, there have been numerous wins by Friendswood in football, soccer, volleyball, cross country, swimming, etc. FYI, here's some good reading [Hidden Content]
  22. WestEnd: And, I came on afterward and gave props to them - which is more than 99% of the folks who talk trash against Friendswood (including you) do after Friendswood football beats Dayton, or Friendswood volleyball beats Nederland, or Friendswood soccer beats the team that beat Lumberton and PNG, or .... you get the picture.
  23. Hey Westender, you really need to think through your attempted put downs more before you post them if you want this to be even remotely competitive. Posting something stupid, and then coming back after you've been proven wrong, and effectively saying "Yeah well...what I really meant was" [fill in the nonsensical statement] is hardly helping your cause. As I have saide before, the Bulldog baseballers played great against FHS, and had a great run. Fortunately, for us over here, Nederland victories (or victories by any SETX teams) over Mighty Mustang teams are few and far between. That's just a fact. And, the Lone Star Cup is awarded by the UIL to the school that has the most success in UIL athletic and academic competitions. I understand that the latter is not of much interest to you (as you demonstrate time and time again), but you do seem interested in sports, so I am a little suprised....actually, on second thought, I am not really that surprised. As for my house value, can I get you talk to the county appraisal folks?
  24. Actually, WestEnd, I was back right after to congratulate the Bulldogs. Unlike you, I don't hide on those rare (for me, not you) times when I have to eat some crow! And, just for that little dig, let me brag a bit. Hopefully, you all noticed that Friendswood HS won the Lone Star Cup this year! After years of runner up status to Highland Park, we dethroned them. And, did you notice that Friendswood was once again listed by CNN/Money as one of the top 100 places to live in America (no. 32 this year). Ah, life is good!
  25. I always look forward to the Friendswood vs. Dayton game. Two great teams, and Friendswood always wins; often by a lot. Not sure why since the talent always seems pretty even. It might be the coaching, or it might be . . . . Anyway, I always enjoy the game, and look forward to it.
