1. You PNG folks really make me laugh.   First, I cannot believe any of you really think that picture one of you posted shows 8,500 people in it.  There are maybe half that many in the stands. Second, I cannot believe any of you PNG fans really think that a Brenham football player is going to be intimidated by a bunch of hicks from PNG jumping up and down and screaming in the stands at Aldine stadium.  They will be laughing at you -- like the rest of us already are doing! Third, its time to see if PNG can play with a real team like Brenham.  This isn't a GT team you're playing now folks.  I predict this one will be over by the time the 3rd quarter ends, and that Brenham wins by 20 or more.  The only shame is that you PNG folks won't get a chance to have Angleton crush your dreams -- which is what will happen to Brenham the following week.
 2. Congrats on the BH win, but the run for PNG ends against a Brenham team that isn't up to usual standards, but is plenty good enough to wallop PNG.  Oh, and don't even think about trying to get something to eat near the Aldine stadium!
 3.
How about FRIENDSWOOD squeaking one out over a program that has sunk quicker than the Titanic? Very impressive, ya'll beat a team from 20-4A that was down to their 3rd QB in the 2nd game of the season and that makes ya'll great. I gurantee you that Central would give ya'll all that ya'll could handle and some. Most PNG fan's never expected to be where were at right now but we do know that the next 2 years is the group that we have been waiting for. So everything good that happen's was never expected anyway. So keep talking trash on PNG. What you FW fan's need to worry about is your own team because when the season began ya'll were highly ranked with big expectation's and I don't see that coming to fruition. So keep talking!
And, yet, we still haven't lost to a SETX team in what 5 or 6 years or longer, despite playing 2-3 every year!!!  But not Central right -- oh, wait, didn't we beat them last year?  Face it dude, 24-4A is so much better than any of your districts, and Friendswood is one of the top programs in the top district!!
 4. Friendswood has been the Regional Champion 3 of the last 4 years, and looks to do so again this year.  Add in Santa Fe and Dawson, and 24-4A is pretty strong district.
 5.
Friendswood Fan...Give the Indians the respect they deserve.  We have played the teams that were on our schedule and defeated all 10!  You must remember that!  And if you think our district is weak..then the rest of people on this page will take care of you!  But, I will say this...it is now the playoffs and at this moment you sound like the rest of the critics on PNG this year...they havent played anyone...but we will take one game at a time as we have all year.  Next up Barbers Hill!  Sorry your team is on a down year!
To be honest, I was really asking out of curiosity because you PNG fans asked BH about "signature" wins.  Yes, PNG has won the games they have scheduled, and that's great for them.  Do I think 20-4A is weak?  Yes.  Am I concerned that other poeple will take care of me?  No, they've been trying for a couple of years now. Now it is playoff time, and your team will have to play teams from other parts of the Region.  Play hard in the game against BH, because Brenham will win the following week regardless of who wins this week. As for Friendswood having a down season, it's all relative.  For a defending Region III champion, finishing second in the toughest district in Texas might seem a let down, but we are still the top district seed in the D1 playoffs.
 6. What they really need to do is play in the Pearland tournament.  They will get some great experience.
 7.
Hey BH fans, I merely propose a simple question: Can ya'll name one signature win that your team has had this season?
I have to ask, PNG's "signature" win was against what team?
 8.
;D Hey why is everyone so scared of Angleton????????????? Ask Manvel they have the answer.
But, last I checked Manvel was from 24-4A; not 20-4A.
 9. As a true Friendswood fan, I have to say that I question fwstangs bona fides.  I suspect an Angelton fan masquerading as a Mustang! Also, as I have previously said, the top several teams from 24-4A would (and will if another opportunity presents itself) destroy any team from 20-4A (including PNG).  It just is not close -- maybe it was years ago, but it is not now! Finally, Dayton just keep hanging on the fact that you got one step further in the 4A, D2 playoffs last than Friendswood got in the 4A, D1 playoffs.  The bottom line is both teams lost to better teams, but Friendswood was by far better than Dayton (as evidenced by the head to head, the historical record, etc.).
 10. In defense of the moderators, let me say that I am probably in the top 10 (or 5?, or 1?  ;D) of people who post comments and observations that are disliked by the SETX crowd (including by many of the myopic moderators).  And, yet, I have never had a post deleted or changed.  Play by the rules, and you can pretty much say what you think!  To paraphrase Newman, "they run a strong board" here at SETXsports!  It is the one thing about SETX that is better than our part of the State.
 11.
From my understanding, Angleton is going Div II with the outside chance of going Div I.....Lake Travis will meet up with Denton Guyer or Longview for the title, but I personally think it will be Guyer.  I've seen them both play and Denton Guyer has a stout defense!  They are strong on all 3 levels...
Angleton has no chance of going Division 1.  The Division 1 reps are Friendswood and Dawson.
 12.
He is from Friendswood      6 and 3     Freindswood
Actually, I don't think he is.   And, to you hammerhead, Friendswood is: (1) the defending 4A, Division 1 Regional Champion; (2) the victor over every SETX team they have played for, what, the last 5 years or longer; and (3) the top 4A Division 1 seed from the best district in Texas!!!!!  Ah, life is good!  ;D ;D ;D
 13. Yes, it is definitely not out of the realm of possibilites.  Therefore, I say it is likely, if not certain, to happen.
 14.

Thus far, we have seen PNG's domination until the 4th quarter.  Faircloth and co's. refusal to run a score up on anyone, shows a lot of class.  However, things could have gotten bad for the last four teams that the Indians have faced.  IMO of the Ozen game last night, PNG was up 35-0 with around 3 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter.  Ozen could not stop anything that the Indians were doing on offense at that point, nor could they move the ball against the Indians D.   My point is, that could have very easily been a 56-0 or 63-0 game.  Central will have their hands, arms, and legs full next week.
Maybe I just don't understand PNG math (like a lot of magical PNG stuff), but if your beloved indians were scoring at the clip of approximately 12 points per quarter through 3 quarters against Ozen, what makes you say they would have hung an additional 21 or 28 on Ozen in the 4th quarter.  Since they are already the "hardest working team" in the world, we know they were trying as hard as they could through 3 quarters.  Hmmmm..................
Pretty simple answer to this really.  Ozen was completely worn out.  PNG put up 21 on them in the 3rd quarter.  2 or 3 more touchdowns would not be out of the realm of possibilities.
Thanks for the explanation.  Only in the logic used by PNG and its fans does "could have very easily been" equate to "would not be out of the realm of possibilities."  For the first time, I now understand the basis for all your predictions and statements about PNG -- if its not out of the realm of possibilites, than it could "very easily" happen so why not predict that it will happen.

 16.
Yes it is a tough one but so is 20-4a thats my point. PNG and Central could play in there district this particular season. TY 79 i THINK THEY LIKE ME ALSO. I watched som game footage of Angleton and they are fast. They were playing Friendswood. I saw a bunch of missed tackles on the Stangs side of the ball. I did like the QB from Friendswood though. Whats his name Metzold something or another. I did notice that Friendswood had one heck of a kickreturn game. Definatly think the indians would be able to move the ball on them. (Wildcats) They maybe hard to stop on offense but looks like they could be slowed some. They are not unbeatable. I can say one thing for sure PNG has a better defense than Friendswood.  FW people get mad if you want its true. I will see more tapes ttoday if I get time. I have a local 4A coach from the area going to watch them with me later today. He alrerady watched some 20-4A footage with me. Should be a good week or 5 of football the next few weeks.
Hey, I like everybody -- especially people like the hammer who clearly don't know any better.  He so wants to be liked!   ;D   Having said that, I don't for a minute believe that the hammer has actually watched any game tapes, much less that he has "a local 4A coach from the area" who watches tapes with him.  That's a good one!  Almost as good as saying that PNG has a better defense (or anything for that matter) than Friendswood!  But it shows he's learning -- wanting to add a patina of credibility to his mindless blathering in support of PNG and its "reservation magic."  I love it!!!!   :D :D :D
 17. It is looking like we will play Lamar Cosolidated in the first round.  And, Karam is redshirting this season.
 18.
I disliked PNG myself for a while but I went to 4 games this season and the fans there were very nice to me. I predicted them to go 0-10 but i was a tiny bit off. Statistics stack PNG up well with Angleton. Like it or not. They only have 284 more yards on offense than PNG.
Hmm, a very touching story.  Told almost like you care what we think. As for the statistics, Friendswood Junior High has rolled up 500 more yards on offense than Angleton, but I still don't think they are ready to take on the Wildcats.  Maybe PNG, but not Angleton!  ;D ;D
 19.
If you only knew why Im called jackthehammer its actually a very funny story.
Now there you go go acting like you care what other people think....  Show some consistency please!  You're acting like a PNG fan!! ;D ;D
 20.
I'm thinking these boys over in Houston are on here posting about their teams because they are concerned about what this district is bringing to the playoffs. Fear is a big motivator which causes folks to start things like this thread to make them feel better about their team and their own lack of confidence for their team. You guys need to focus on who your gonna be playing this Friday and the following Friday and not what could happen in 3-4 weeks. If this match up happens then you can start your emotional based fear posting !!!. All your fans know you are a beatable team, you just haven't had a super stout Defense to hold you down yet and keep your 1 (one) superstar in check !!! So move on and support your team(s) this week and the following weeks if you make it that far. And if so we will see you then !!!
Every once in a while, there is a post that says it all better than you could ever have hoped, on every level!!!!  Thank you 66; you will never understand why, but you make us all proud (and thankful) to be anything but PNG fans!!!  ;D :D ;D :D
 21.
If you have not figured it out yet I dont care about what anyone thinks. When Angleton loses out  just remember I said they would not win state.
Actually, anyone who adopts the moniker "jackthehammer" pretty much only cares what other people think. That's what makes your post so funny..... ;D ;D ;D
 22. Does it matter?  Neither team will get past Brenham in round 2.  ;D ;D
 23.

In reference back to the topic of the thread.... Friendswood Fan... Does it look like Sante Fe will be the #2 seed in division II out of your district. In comparison to 20-4A and 24-4A... NO WAY do the Indians go undefeated through that district (and I am a PN-G alum). Just way too much talented teams in that district from top to bottom. The bottom teams in 24-4A are WAY better than 20-4A. Angleton is the top team in Region III, that being said, on any given night anybody can beat anybody.
Sad thing about Sante Fe is that after that 6-0 start, they are endangered of not making the playoffs at all. They play at Angleton tonight and then Pearland Dawson next week and Dawson may need to win that one if they lose to Texas City tonight. They really need to win at Angleton, but the cards are stacked against them. Angleton really wants this game to win the district outright and claim the #1 seed.
Thanks for the info... Let me know if this is correct... Angleton probably wins outright (Division II #1 seed) Dawson probably finishes 2nd in district (Division I #1 Seed) Friendswood finishes 3rd in district. (Division I #2 Seed) Who is the 4th place team, that team would be the Division II #2 Seed? Thanks for replying.
Flip Dawson and Friendswood and you have it right -- assuming all goes according to form.
 24. So, is that how it is done at PNG?  Post something inane, attack pointlessly, declare yourself the victor when you have obviously been proven wrong, say something mildly racist, and then take comfort in the fact that you have, at least, stuck together!   I actually feel sorry for your children!
