Once again hammerhead, you are wrong.  But, hey, that's no real surprise.   The beauty of this forum is you can go back and verify whether what people say about past activities and posts is true.  And, in this case it will verify that you are -- as usual -- wrong.  I was on here after the football team lost in the playoffs.  The truth is that I may be a gloating winner, but I am not a sore loser -- plenty of people who don't (yes, friend, contractions call for an apostrophe -- oh, and it's "their" and not "there") really care for me can verify that. Nice try (sore) loser!

Yes, of course you're not obsessed with Friendswood.  You spend every Saturday night composing and posting several paragraphs about us becauese it's just a fun hobby.  You can quit anytime you want -- I understand.  ;D Oh, and I believe you are from Clear Lake too!! ;D  ;)  And that you were once wealthy!  ;D  And, that you choose to live where you live because it's "grounded."

Out of town since yesterday for the holiday.  I was at the 1st and 2nd games, but I haven't posted on here as a kind of test.  fwstangs thinks my posts are unnecessarily provacative, but I say that they spice things up and that people ultimately enjoy all the fireworks.  Anyway, I decided to sit back and see if it heats up without me.  

Wow, what a spewing of hate towards my friend fwstangs.  And, no one with the B@#$s to offer a simple congratulations to the Friendswood boys.  What a bunch of sore losers you folks are from PNG!   And to monkeyblood, I just love it when people from a "community" like PNG try to preach about how they supposedly raise their kids to some higher standard.  I recall that higher standard being on display during football.  But, hey, whatever keeps you going, and it it helps you rationalize the fact that you are stuck living where you live, more power to you!   Has anybody bothered to add up how PNG (heck the whole GT) fared against those rich, spoiled Friendswood kids this year (include all the academic, music, theater and art stucff).  I am guessing its been about Friendswood 30 and PNG ZERO! Go Indians -- but it will have to be next year!   ;)

Although I wasn't there today (I was Wednesday and yesterday) to see it, Evan Mohl of the Galveston Daily News reports on his blog that it was a pretty obvious balk.  Definitely a tough way to lose, but if it is an obvious balk it has to be called.  Congrats to PNG.  All hail the . . . .

The pairings are simply fewest losses vs. most lossess, and 2nd fewest vs. 3rd fewest.  No magic to it.

From the beginning, the FW girls played way too direct and did not use the width of the field.  They seemed way too anxious to want to score fast, and Midway get a great job of jumping the passing lanes, interrupting FW's flow, and marking up on AH.   After a couple of mental mistakes led to a Midway goal, the FW girls got panicky and even more direct.  Against many teams they can simply manufacture scoring chances and goals even when playing so predictably by virtue of their greater talent level, and they were able to create a few chances against Midway but they missed.  And, for the mst part Midway's defense was able to intercept the 2nd or 3rd passes, and clear the ball away. Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, FW made no adjustments at halftime, and Midway packed it in even further.  I thought that Midway's frequent substitutions and a warm day started to wear down the FW starters, and as time ticked away. the FW girls pressed too much to make it happen in one fell swoop, rather than build up their scoring chances.  Even so, FW had several good chances in the last several minutes, but simply could not capitalize. All in all, Midway was better prepared and deserved to win over a more talented team!

I just got back from the game, and wanted to congratulate the Midway Girls for their 1-0 win over the Mighty Lady Mustangs.  Midway was the better team today and Friendswood played tight and out of sync (no doubt Midway had something to o with that).  I would have hoped for more adjustments by Friendswood as the game played to a close, but I can't say I expected that to happen.  Good luck Midway at State!!!!  ;D

Here are some interesting facts: The UIL has had 4A girls soccer for 11 years, and the Friendswood girls have: * reached no less than the region III semifinals in all 11 years * reached the region III championship game in 8 of the 11 years * won all 7 of the regional championship games in which they have played (the 8th such game is tomorrow) * reached the state championship game in 4 of the 11 years * won 1 state championship Nice!!!!!

The Region III Regional Tournament Girls Semifinal Results are: Waco Midway 1 -- Brenham 0 Friendswood 5 -- Texas City 1

I think Midway will beat Brenham, and that Friendswood will beat Midway by 3-4 goals.  Whether Friendswood can FINALLY beat Pearce or McKinney in the State Tournament is a different question.  Frankly, I think their defense and keeper play on this team gets a little shaky when playing other upper echelon teams.

The post of mine that you deleted said absolutely nothing about the Nederland team, much less anything that bashed them.  Deleting a post on a public forum and and them lying publicly about what it said can get YOU in lot's of hot water!  As for my deleted post, it said -- entirely accurately -- that the road to a Regional Championship passes through Friendswood; not through Midway, Brenham or anywhere else.  Frankly, I'll put my track record for truthfulness up against yours ANY TIME.   Now, can I be annoying?  Probably so, but we are all living in glass houses when we start to make that complaint -- I mean seriously folks, we are posting on a message board.   As for your suppposed policing of bad taste, and your parochial defense of the locals, by all means continue to allow posts arguing about which fans are lower class -- that strikes me as being sort of like watching a kettle call a pot black.  Why not ask your fellow "mods" (that's short for moderators, right?) whether they agree with your actions.     [/quote] And Sharkie -- who is not a fan of mine -- has already vouched for the fact that my post was not what you have represented.

BB hardly needs me to defend her, but you say that Kelly did "okay"?  This coming from a PNG fan?  A team that habitually plays a WEAK schedule, piling up individual and team statisitics against very undermanned opponents instead of getting prepared -- really prepared -- for the post season, and then makes its usual early exit from the playoffs.  I'll take BB and the Kelly girls any day!

First, the best women's coach is over at Kelly -- hands down, not even close. Second, Lumberton has zero chance against Midway -- my prediction is that Midway's goals will outnumber Lumberton's shots.  Third, rebuilding from what -- an exit in the 2nd (or 1st) round of the playoffs? 

They are not playing for a chance to go to State.  It's a regional quaterfinal game for crying out loud!
