jcb: Not that I need to defend myself against the likes of you, but if, in fact, you follow my posts, then you know that: (a) I follow lots of different sports; ( I root for Friendswood; and © I dislike and challenge groundless boasting and excuse making. I enjoy the Kelly soccer posts, and asked a straightforward question. The prior posts touted the game vs. St. Agnes, without suggesting a blowout was in store, so I was surprised and asked a question. The excuse making about St. Agnes' talent was both incorrect, and, well, excuse making. FF

I don't see Nederland getting past Friendswood if both are good/lucky enugh meet in another round. Dayton could go pretty far.

Yes, well, like I said, I don't follow the private schools that much. For what i is owrth, however, I do know some parents of the St. Agnes team, and I think that you have grossly overstated the make up of the team. But, hey, if that makes you feel better.

Wow, was that expected? I don't much follow the private school season, but I thought these teams were closer in terms of talent to one another.

LaMarque is not used to losing, and the fans are not happy. However, I expect the coach to get another year. As for FW, the D got pretty lazy last night when FW got up 21-0, and stayed lousy for a while, but got better again at the end. The offense was pretty awesome. The QB has 14 TDs in the last 2 games! It is too bad that FW will go D1 and Dayton D2 -- only a few things would be more fun than beating Dayton yet again.

Well, that explains why it looked like a JV team out there. Brave talk from you little jayhawk now that you know the two teams won't meet again! JK threw for 7 touchdowns (6 in one half) this week, and would burn Dayton again if the teams played again. And, for the record, Angleton is much better than Dayton -- every bit as fast, but more physical, and they play much smarter.

It would be another blowout. Dayton might (and I mean might) score a bit more, but no way the Dayton D would be able to stopn the FHS passing attack. Dayton seems more suited to defending the run.

And Friendswood!!

I stand corrected. I could have sworn that Dayton missed the playoffs a couple of times in the early 2000s, but if you say not, I believe you. As to whether Dayton will be better along the lines if the two teams play again, I think they are just outmatched.

The FW-TC game was, indeed, a good one. A bit sloppy at first, but two very good teams going at it until the very end. TC's line, on both sides, were able to stand up to FW all night -- something that was missing in the Dayton game. I don't know how that gets better in just a few weeks. And, hopefully, that "this year" crack was not meant as a sarcastic jab at FW because FW has made the playoffs much more consistently than Dayton over the last decade -- and beyond..

Yes, that's right, Dayton will miraculously learn how to beat Friendswood. That's a good one!

Yes, Texas City is better than Dayton!

I would not expect this one to be close. TC will roll early, late, and often. District 24-4A is the SEC of Region 3!

The Stadium seating is supposed to be increased significantly this winter. I'll believe it when I see it. The parking situation is terrible, and I am not sure what they plan to do about it. In FW, we mostly make arrangements to park in the driveways of friends who live near the HS.

Yeah....I actually was talking about your attitude and arguments, not your physical location. But, hey, I can see where that might have been kind of confusing to a guy like you. I'll try to take it down a level or two in the future so you can fully understand and participate in the conversation.

Actually, beating Dayton has become kind of an annual ritual for FHS, so it's not really that big a deal! But, coming from where you come from, I could see where you would think that is a big deal!

Okay all you Dayton fans & FHS trashers, I'm back!!! Are you? Or, are you guys hypocrits?

Hey, that's great for you StevieRay. When you find out, let me know and I'll give you your next assignment! And, Dayton may bounce back, but they will NEVER be able to beat FHS! They can watch all the film they want -- it's never gonna happen!

And, they are consistently the best 4A sports school in Region 3!!! They raise kids who are winners in whatever they do -- be it football, soccer, baseball, running, etc. And that goes for academics as well!

They've been state champions -- which is far more than Dayton!!

Hey Band Geek, kiss my butt!! I put up with all the Dayton homers all week, and you NEVER said a word about that! FW lost MORE than Dayton from last year, but it's FW so we just re-load! The better team won -- as usual! ALL HAIL MIGHTY FRIENDSWOOD!!!

With all the boasting and trash talking this past week, I don't want to hear any lame excuses. All hail Mighty Friendswood!!!!
