Good win for Nederland, made the most of 3 hits by Seniors W. Butler, R. Cunningham, .Brody Bennett & made G.P. pay for their 3 errors scoring their 5 runs. Playing guys with experience & Senior leadership will get wins in games like this when out hit 8 to 3. Next up should be 4 wins vs. United & P.A. to keep the dogs at the top of district standings.

BC has made it to the state tournament(Final 4) 3 times Class 4A-'91-'92 beat Denison 6-5 then Lost in the championship game 10-1 vs. Robstown Class 3A-'04-'05- Lost to Carthage 5-2 First game. Carthage beat Lubbock Cooper 6-1 to win Title. Class 3A- '05-'06- Lost to Texarkana Liberty-Eylau 7-3. Liberty-Eylau beat Falfurrias 2-1 to win Title

As long as helmet & mask have the correct stamps & meet all this 2020 NFHS regulations its good: 1-5-4 The catcher’s helmet and mask combination shall meet the NOCSAE standard. Any helmet or helmet and mask combination shall have full ear protection (dual ear flaps). A throat protector, which is either a part of or attached to the catcher’s mask, is mandatory. A throat protector shall adequately cover the throat. The commercially manufactured catcher’s head, face and throat protection may be a one-piece or multi-piece design. While in a crouch position, any non-adult warming up a pitcher at any location shall wear a head protector, a mask with a throat protector and a protective cup (male only).
